Re: Carpooling from Cape Town
Furries, I'm thinking of travelling to the con by train. It might be fun if a group of us can book together, and we could have our own compartment or even carriage, depending on the numbers.
Departing Cape Town, Arriving Johannesburg, it is easy enough to connect to the Gautrain and get pretty close to our final destinations.
A single ticket is about R800 and the baggage allowances are MUCH more generous than the airlines.
The journey is 26 hours (ideal circumstances) and my experience with the Shozoloza Meyl thus far have been pleasant as long as you are not in a hurry.
Not going to book anything until Q1 2019, but putting it out there.
