I'm often confused what is classified as a plush? So can anyone explain to me what would classify as a plush?

*shrugs* Any kind of stuffed animal is a plush, as far as I know.

The term plush is usually referred to as the soft outer material of a stuffed animal

plushies however don't just mean that however, and it's usually a figure, something soft and snuggly, and often modified to do other things with.

I hope that made sense ^.^;

Thought I'd add my 5 cents even though everything's already been said. Yeah. Plushies are just... soft toys. Plushie seems to be a fairly new word in south africa, but it is finding place. I've seen it mentioned a couple times in advertising now, when before they were always just called "soft toys"

From what I have learnt, plushies are really the same thing as soft toys, but you could say that they are generally higher quality than ordinary consumer soft toys since it would be aimed realism (most cases) and durability.

Cheers, Red.
