In the homestretch now. Painting is done at least & Skully is resting quietly in my living room as her varnish dries. The brown on her ears was a bit dull so I brushed some metallic brass colour over it - pops nicely now!

I am closing in on the finish line! Glue for straps are clamped & curing. If these don't work, then everything has been for nothing. #nopressure ^___^;;;

That's really great. I especially like the ears, leaving out the colour, they look really lifelike.

I can't take credit for the base, but the ears were the things that comvinced me to buy it. I adore them! I hate it when you see a really good fursuit head/costume with reeeeaaaally crappy ears. This cut out the guess work. <3

DUDE! I wanted to show you those! I am sure you could make a killing 3D printing the "cases" & putting together the inner works. People really liked them &, from my layman's perspective at least, they seem simple to assemble. I would suggest some edits to make them more user friendly.

Depressingly, more people were excited about my LED Mr Price shoes than Skully. :lol: I did get compliments though & it was fun wearing her! I learnt a lot. Now need to make some adjustments to her to make her even more amazing! <3

I just realised I've met you in person at Geekfest when I was suiting. Wow what a small world, I also saw your post on FB and thought to myself wow another person with a skull then I saw these pictures here and put 1 and 1 together.

10/10 would buy those LED's to put into the fursuits, I've been looking for a while now for small LED lights that doesn't take much wiring.

Die moeilikheid kom in...
The trouble is when you have to change 20 tiny batteries! :lol:

They are pretty cool though! What do they fetch for?

Herrooooo! I was wearing a Steven Universe shirt at GeekFest. Thanks for the vote of confidence! I see so many things that I might have done differently if I hadn't left it to the last minute BUT THAT IS THE ESSENCE OF COSPLAY!

Oh dramaqueen! Tis only *3* batteries! ;P I bought 4 for a pound, so like R5 each? I would totally have paid more though - they are flippin' epic & I felt more at ease with the enclosed unit versus wiring. What do you reckon the components would cost?

I mean 20 as in 20 digits! Haha!! 10 fingers, 10 toes, assuming he wants to make his nails glow...

LED is R1, about the same for the plastic enclosure... I Don know whar button cells cost... But I think a bit more than R3...

In South Africa I cant realistically make them for R5... :?

Given your captive audience, you could charge more or alternatively, go "batteries not included".

Mushroomhead sounds like a hilarious euphemism for genitalia! What is the intended reference?

Why not wire all the LED's to a chargeable battery pack? Use the same enclosure but have a wire running out going to a battery pack that can be put into an internal pocket on the suit?
