My first fursuit ^.^

This would be my fursuit...my very own, very first, fursuit.

It will tide me over till I'm able to afford a smaller, lither version with all the bells and whistles that will make furs swoon over ^.^

Kinda heavy in the tail and head, but fun to wear. The tongue is detachable, so I position it for simply cute or excessively cute...or just plain dorky ^.^

The last two images are very large on this forum, so the links will take you scaled down versions which you can then click on to enlarge if you so wish.

Awesome suit

i really want a fursuit of my own :/

just wish i could afford it.

Also, don't be afraid of attaching the images, the direct link to the LJ images site doesn't work in IE (Cross site scripting), we have the bandwidth and the space, use it.

I know me and Ghostrider's suits are exactly high quality, but they were'nt so expensive to make. However it does take a long time, i worked around 2 months on our heads.

Electrocat's suit...
The plastic mesh used inside... R40 for the meter I used.
A meter of batting (stuffing) R20 per meter (used a little bit more than a meter for both suits, everything. The tails took most of the batting.
the orange fur cost about R130,
Ghostrider's fur altogether was R220
the furry white fur cost around R100.
The cheek "fur" is the fake feathers, a meter of that was R30.
The felt used on the stripes etc. was around R40 for the 1.5 meters.
The misc felt costs like R2 for a 10 x 10cm block. (inside ears etc)
for the eyes, a cheap pair of black pantyhose was more than enough for both suits.
The white of the eyes, I cut them out from a cheap ice cream bak.
The pawsies are slippers with the fur attacked over them.
The wig for Ghostrider's mane was R80.

So both suits cost me roughly R630 for the material. But it's a lot of work and you need patience.

I've also never done any needlework before making this suit, and I did learn a lot from it.
Eg, you can stab yourself in the same spot 80 times with a needle while working on the head.
Justice, glory and bitches - in that order.

well, okay, so it's not that expensive, but i can't make anything, it's like i've got two left paws.
I can do computer programming tho, and fairly well :P

maybe i could get someone to make me a suit, even just the main body-suit of fur, that would be enough for now, i know Draco has offered to make the head for me at a small cost, so we'll see with that

Very nice suit there. It looks well made.

I absolutely LOVE fursuiting! There was a stage when I though...meh...whatever. But once you try it, once you're with other fursuiters...its an awesome experience...especially when people wanna have pics taken with ya...and not just kids!!! Adults too! Hehehe.
