I was worried I was the only one that thought that! Especially the one at the top of the page. Maybe it's just that the head is so much bigger than the body.

Most people there were quite curious and thought it was cute. It was quite fun getting to interact with folks in character, asking for high-fives and hugs and posing for pictures. The creepy factor is minimised when the character is "alive".

There are a few things that I want to change now that I can see it on myself and have actually worn it for some length of time. For example, the neck looks a bit "detached", the ears are a bit too big and/or upright, and the jawline looks weird. And of course cooling and air circulation need attention.

OMG the nostalgia... Karel Ramkat and Bak and Terie. I'm pretty sure it would be absolute crap if I saw that stuff again as an adult.

I had some free time today so I made the body dummy out of a black bag and packing tape, it worked really well.

After renewed inspiration thanks to the pawdcast, I've done some research and made some new plans.

My to-do list:
> Re-seam tail to improve shape
> Re-do hair and tail tuft out of brushed yarn (that flat wig hair is really starting to bug me... I want VOLUME!)
> Re-do eyes (again)
> Fix broken tooth
> Fix visible edges of fur on head
> Install fan system in head
> Fix popped seam on glove
> Make gloves and sleeves attachable with press studs
> Re-do elastic shoulder strap between sleeves with an adjustable snap buckle
> Make main body piece which covers shoulders, trunk, and legs
> Finish digi hoof shoes

Not sure when I'll be able to get any of this stuff done, but here's hoping.

So Stelcon has been announced as HAPPENING!!! On the 27th of August. With that in mind, I want to revamp my suit in time for it.

I've already fixed the popped seam on the glove and acquired most materials needed for the list above.
I've started on the yarn hair and tail: the base of both is done, I just need to straighten and brush out the yarn.
I already have a hair straightener, and just got myself a slicker brush, which I'll use for routine grooming as well.
I'm changing my 'sona's design so the hair is like a horse's mane, with a long narrow scalp.

By the time Stelcon comes around I want to be done fixing up the existing parts.
I'll leave the upgrades and new pieces for later if I'm not done in time.

Updates and photos incoming, watch this space.

Thanks horsey :)

So I got up extra early today so I could work on this before heading to work.
Oh. My. Goodness! Straightening the unravelled yarn and then brushing it makes it look AMAZING! So poofy and silky! :3
Also straightening first causes less fibres to come loose while brushing. This is so awesome! :D

No they shouldn't! They make women's glutinous maximus look more attractive.
