Been a long time since I posted here...

I may have binge watched a lot of Archer recently... so I started playing with the art style.

It's super easy! Though the original art style is rendered in Photoshop (using vectors), I used Paint Tool SAI... which is pretty neat

The eyes are off... but it's cool... I learned stuff

So I've gotten bored of my current style. It's just too toony for me.

I've pretty much redesigned Raven and I want to make her a decent, accurate, anatomical pic so I need to practice. I wanted to practice on something I love, which is big beasties. I've always loved sabre tooths, and ocelots, and you don't often see sabre tooth ocelot furs so I decided I needed to create a male counterpart for Raven.

He has no name yet, but his hair and beard and clothing style (and nature) are based pretty much entirely on Tom Hiddleston (but that's more because that's the kind of guy I would actually settle with. Charming and quintessentially British).

So far I've only done a head, practicing the more complex patterns of an Ocelot, enjoying that a lot. As well as going back to my old style of thinner lines.

I've been pretty tired of art lately... I have little to no motivation to draw, and it has a lot to do with how often my stuff just sort gets shunted aside. Not just here, but on DA and FA mostly, I mean here the same people every time comment and say they like it, and I do feel like I'm being a whiney attention seeker but it's hard to remain motivated when it feels like very few people care...

So this is more just for me, as a reference while I go through drawing this character and Raven together.

edit: I also think I want to change his eyes... the more I look at it the more I want too...

Daughter to Dimitri Song, CEO and Owner of Song Corp, Raven should inherit her dad's business... instead she's pretty happy to use the finances and resources of Song Corp in her machinations of grandeur. That's why her Ferrari has guns

Meet Oliver "Fang" Hylander, suave, sophisticated, a true ladies man. Oh, and he's a spy working for MI6. Not quite as infamous as his closest friend Bond, Hylander is second best at his trade. He spends more time travelling the world, protecting and collecting important items, people and documents for the government and royals of the United Kingdom. He likes his Jameson on the rocks, and enjoys his evenings in front of a fire with a good book. His ultimate goal is to capture "The Darkness" and bring him to justice... somehow... Oliver is single, though he did have his eye on a young heiress he met at a cocktail party once. Almost always in a suit.

I'm looking forward to using these two to expand a universe and add characters and story etc. I think it'll be fun. I mean I come up with a thousand idea's and never finish them... but it should be fun

The Raven picture is really amazing. The Oliver one is good but to me it just looks like his head is out of proportion with everything else. Or maybe he just has a really narrow neck. I'll look forward to seeing more pictures like this though.

I also worried about the neck. I didn't want it to be fat but with the head shape it felt as natural as I could make it. I think the problem is it's too long... should have made it shorter...
