Magic: The Gathering

So, some people play Magic at my college, and I bought myself a deck today. I was just wondering if maybe there were more furries that play Magic? It's quite a fun card game, so if anyone would care for a game, let me know :)

I played for a long time quite a while ago. From about 2000 to 2006 or so. It's a fun game, but not when you can't afford decent cards to make a deck from : P Still play now and then with friends.
Back after a long absence! Sometimes Siamese, sometimes Husky. Can't blame me for indecision, just gief me feesh :V

I play, but I only collected for a while, so I've only got a few decks. They're honed to maximise my enjoyment, though.. and I sometimes enjoy being an absolute bastard.

Unblockable ninja swarm, away!

Fun game, but I don't like the direction that WotC have taken now... every edition seems to be more powerful than the previous one. Luckily my friends who play all have old cards too.

Weren't we supposed to play Yugioh? I used to play Magic in junior school then again in high school and everyone followed to make it fairly big again. I don't have any new cards though and haven't played in ages.

I never took up magic, and prolly because it was so expensive.
I have a couple of decks of pokemon cards, which is much easier than magic, the 7 or 9 phases during the battles really really got to me >.<

I played for a while, back in my high school days. Wound up selling my cards, though...at least I made a bit of a profit there. ^.^

But... there are some sides/races who are pure anthros! I tried hard to get a cat deck during Mirrodin but I didn't manage in the end.

I was kind of keen to try and build a fox-spirit deck during the Kamigama block.. but they turned out to suck, so that plan went away.

I started in Ice Age. A hell of a long time ago. I went through all the sets: Mirage, Visions, The weatherlight, the rath cycle and getting up to urzas saga, upon where i learned:

No matter what happens, you'll always need to buy more cards because the new commons being released are as powerful as some of the old cards rares.

The power level after seeing time spiral (yay, Tefari. Now we know what the hell happened to him. Disappearing in mirage and all...) and this latest one, well... I'm glad i stopped a long time ago.

Although i do remember one prediction fondly. One person predicted they'd firtst pull off "shiny" cards and later on, bubblegum.

I'm waiting :P

But end of story: i know how to play, and may play a game or two, but i won't buy. No more.

I played a lot in High School, still do when I get the chance. I found it more fun than pokemon or yugioh and its not more expensive than either of those card games.
