It's about the relationship between a pikachu and a mimikyu. Let me lay it out step by step.Sev wrote:WTF did I just watch?
Pics 1 and 2: This shows a female pikachu meeting and falling in love with a mimikyu, thinking he's another pikachu. Mimikyu, understandably, is very flustered because mimikyus very rarely get to experience relationships like these, what with them being madness-inducing abominations of indescribable terror and all.
Pic 3: Here Mimikyu is staring at his own reflection, feeling guilty for deceiving Pikachu. Pikachu sees this, but doesn't understand why her partner seems so sad.
Pics 4, 5, 6 and 7: Pikachu gives Mimikyu a lightning stone as a gift to try and cheer him up (the stone also serves as a symbolic representation of her feelings for him). Mimikyu, overcome with guilt, cannot accept her gift.
Pics 8 and 9: Pikachu believes that, by rejecting her gift, Mimikyu is also rejecting her feelings for him, and breaks down crying. This pushes the conflict inside of Mimikyu to the breaking point, forcing him to come clean.
Pics 10 and 11: Mimikyu rips off the fake head, revealing his true identity. (This could also be symbolic of how difficult it can be to completely open up to the one you love, exposing the deepest parts of your heart that you would ordinarily keep hidden from everyone.)
Pic 12: Completely exposed, Mimikyu waits for the inevitable screams of terror.
Pics 13 and 14: But Pikachu embraces him instead, forgiving him and wholly accepting him for who he is. The cast-off disguise lying forgotten in the foreground is symbolic of Mimikyu leaving his old life of loneliness behind.
In the end, love conquers all. Truly a heartwarming little tale all about love and acceptance.
