Fair enough, but maybe we should finish off this second round before we change things up.
I might suggest we go from y to z to y, to avoid having the same letter show up twice in a row.

Going from Y to Z to Y again effectively skips the Z in the next cycle. If you want to go in reverse, it's best to be consistent, like so: A...Z, A...Z, Z...A, and so on.
