I'll let whoever posts first ask the next riddle.

Well the first post was by stargazing serpent, so I guess we have to wait till he shows up to make the next riddle

May I please ask you to call me "Azure"? ;) It is much simpler.

I do have a puzzle in mind. However, KSpore, if you would like to be the next riddler, I would not mind.

I'm honoured but unless you want some generic riddle I quickly got off the internet, I would rather leave it to the "professionals" (or at least the more experienced, (no I am not implying that you are old :) ) )

Very well.

Here is my puzzle - a straightforward anagram:
When the letters below are unscrambled, which well-known city's name appears?

BONMITEELFNO

A man is driving a car.
He does not have his head lights turned on, nor are the street lamps on.
There isn't even any moon light, yet he avoids the dog in the road.
How does he know of the dog?

His road is illuminated by this wonderful source of light, a giant ball of burning gas known to us as a star called "The Sun"

Yes, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the bees are... um...

let's just leave it at that.

I do believe a thread revival is in order. :P And what better way to rejuvenate a puzzle game than with a puzzle?

I was playing the classic game of "Battleships" with my younger cousin yesterday. Hence, the following is a simple puzzle based on the game's logic:
Imagine a 3x3 grid, with 9 blocks in total. The horizontal axis is divided into columns labelled 1 to 3 from left to right. The vertical axis is divided into rows labelled A to C from top to bottom. Hence, the middle or central block would be B2, and so on.

On this grid, I have placed a ship that occupies TWO consecutive blocks - either horizontally or vertically, but not diagonally. You cannot see it, however, but you must discover its location by opening fire on one of the two blocks it occupies.

The following clues are given:
1) You opened fire on block A3 but it was a miss: nothing was hit.
2) You opened fire on block C3 - it too was a miss.
3) Similarly, A2 was a miss.
4) Again, B3 was a miss.

With that in mind, which block has the highest probability of being a successful hit?

Use your brain, Admiral! :P The enemy is stealthy!

In my opinion, both B1 would have the best chance seeing as there are in B1 three configurations that it could over lap on. eg. for B1 (Ship is on A1-B1;B1-C1;B1-B2) SO, I want to make a guess of B1

B1 is indeed the correct answer, Brutallis! ;) Well done. You may now post a riddle or puzzle of your own, if you wish.

A bovine pastry.

(It's not milk tart and has nothing to do with Leeward)

Really? I thought that was a pretty good answer...
Better than all I could come up with, a 'scowne'.
... It's a very bad pun. If that's the right answer, I will be mildly disappointed.

I didn't say it's a bad guess. The right answer is more tasty.
