Re: Puzzles & Riddles !
Well for some annoyed grumblings, some airlines do keep row 13, some also omit other rows and not all planes are big enough to have 13 rows. More specific annoyance with clues.
"Hint: You can't sit on seats that don't exist.
(If they did they would be in the plane, so no dice Rakuen.)"
My answer was rejected because the seats weren't in the plane and the don't exist seemed to be linked to that. A bit unfair if row 13 seats aren't in the plane either.

My next guess was going to be the handicapped seats, which are just empty spaces for wheelchairs.
Well shit, now I have to think of a riddle XD
EDIT: undid my edit XD

Re: Puzzles & Riddles !
Sorry for putting you on the spot like that.
I'd like to make an addendum to the rules:
♢ If the riddler is unable to post a riddle or puzzle, he or she may delegate it instead to one of the solvers of the previous round.

Okay then, may as well go with an oldie just to keep things going.
What is precious yet so fragile that merely mentioning it breaks it?

I can promise honestly that I did not use Google.
If you really want to know how I got it so quickly, it is because I was listening to "The Sound of Silence" earlier... I made the connection a little more quickly because of it.

I was going to do that when it was in the first edit. >.> Then it disappeared and came back. I would've referenced the doorway to the Black Hand Sanctuary when I answered...

Darn it, I should have gone with something harder. Oh well, your turn, Azure.
Rakuen, don't you mean the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary?

Hmm... If possible, I would like to delegate my turn instead to Rakuen. Is that fine with you, sir?

Well I just remember the note had a black hand. x.xLeeward wrote:Rakuen, don't you mean the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary?
Eh, why not. I can remember one that's pure logic, though maybe its more well known...StargazingSerpent wrote:Hmm... If possible, I would like to delegate my turn instead to Rakuen. Is that fine with you, sir?
You have been tasked to retrieve the holy grail but it is hidden behind one of two doors. If you pick the correct door, you retrieve the grail. If you pick the wrong door, you will die. The doors are watched over by two guards that prevent you from cheating. You may ask them only one question but you know that one of them will always tell the truth and the other will always tell a lie. How can you retrieve the grail?

(I have solved a puzzle very similar to this one before that followed the exact same logical pattern, so it would be unfair of me to compete. I shall sit this one out.)

Ask One of them if he is a guard?
The truthful one will answer "Yes", the lair "No".
You can then use the remaining question to locate the correct door by knowing who you are asking.

Re: Puzzles & Riddles !
Ask one of the gaurds 'Which door would the other guard say is correct?'
The truthful gaurd will tell you that the lying guard would say the incorrect door.
If you ask the lying guard he would tell you that the truthful gaurd would say the incorrect door as well (since he is lying).
The correct door is then the opposite of what they say.

Re: Puzzles & Riddles !
Perhaps but it wasn't clear enough but they are supposed to be asked at the same time. They are right next to each other. But regardless, that's still the right solution, even if you only ask one. Well done.Cape_F0X wrote:Ask one of the gaurds 'Which door would the other guard say is correct?'

OK, no rule bending this time around.
Two mothers and two daughters have a total of 21 coins. All 21 have the same value.
How would you divide it equally among them?
-A coin may not be discarded.
-A coin may not be shared or physically divided.
-A coin may not be exchanged.

A wolf, a man, and a goat are trying to cross a river.
There is a boat, but it only holds 2(including the man)
The wolf and the goat and the goat and the cabbage cannot be left alone.
How do you get everyone accross?

That's an old one. Even junior school we had a variation of that in a computer game.Adagio wrote:A wolf, a man, and a goat are trying to cross a river.

Take the goat across, go back alone, take the wolf across, take the goat back, take the cabbage across, go back alone, finally bring the goat across.

Well I'll share an old one.
You're freezing cold in the arctic and stumble into your cabin. It's getting dark and you only have one match with you. Shivering you look around and see a gas stove, a fireplace with kindling and a lamp. Which do you light first?

What if the cabin has electricity?
What if there are blankets to warm you?
Do you have a means of lighting your single match?
So many questions. Much Wow!
