The dog is well trained if it doesn't kill the rabbit and doesn't pester the cat.

Myth busted!

I was talking about a random dog. If you have a cat that dislikes dogs and a jumpy rabbit that dog is going to get triggered.

I can also post cute pictures... Image

Right now. ;)

If tomorrow were two days before yesterday, then three days after "today" it would have been Wednesday. Find out what day today actually is. Then, take the first three letters of today's day's name, and rearrange them to form a common English word. What is this word?

I'm guessing the word is "sat." It's the only one out of all the ways I've tried to interpret that riddle that makes sense.
Tomorrow is Wednesday and yesterday is Monday so if tomorrow were two days before yesterday then time is moving backwards. Then three days before Wednesday (with opposite time direction) is Saturday because Saturday, Friday, Thursday, Wednesday. And the first three letters of Saturday are already a word.

I tried it algebraically and it still didn't make any sense as I got an ambiguous solution. Are you sure there isn't a typo somewhere?

Geez...
If both Leeward and Rakuen don't get it, then I think I have some explaining to do. :P Perhaps I should have worded it more clearly?

Let me clarify.

We are simply shifting the reference point - "today" - around.

"If tomorrow were two days before yesterday". What does this mean? It means the reference point from which we are measuring - "today" - is being shifted back four days. (Because "tomorrow", or today + 1, is 2 days before yesterday, or today - 1) So, we now have a new reference point. A new "today". It is four days before the original 'today'.
FROM THIS NEW REFERENCE POINT, if you measure three days from "today", it would be Wednesday.

Now we simply work backwards. Go back three days from Wednesday. Sunday.
That means 'today' on this shifted week is Sunday.

Now find the original 'today', by shifting. To do that, go 4 days forward from Sunday.

Thursday.

Thu.
Hut.

The answer is hut.

That's still confusing.

"If tomorrow were two days before yesterday,"

Yesterday was Monday and two days before was Saturday but that is now tomorrow. That shifts today back four days, which would make today Friday.

"then three days after "today" it would have been Wednesday."

That doesn't make sense then. Three days before Wednesday is Sunday.

It really doesn't make sense. You've got a shift then apparently something that isn't shifted but you talk about that after a shift and even in the same sentence. How are you meant to know what is and isn't meant to change? Look at the riddle "If tomorrow were two days before yesterday, then three days after "today" it would have been Wednesday."
"If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind."

Start with Thursday. Because that is the final answer I gave.

"If tomorrow were two days before yesterday."
Today is now 4 days before today, or Thursday. Sunday.

"Then three days after "today" it would have been Wednesday".
Move three days forward from Sunday.
Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday.

The logic checks out. I just worded it a bit ambiguously.

Why would someone assume it starts in the second half of the sentence and not that the yesterday and tomorrow are the starting points and based on our own day? Sure the shift thing can make sense but there's no way to understand where you wanted us to start.

"Based on our own day".
Because then all someone would have to do is look at what day real today is to answer the puzzle, Rakuen, defeating the whole purpose of a puzzle.

And I just admitted I could have been more precise. Do you want me to admit it again?

Perhaps we should simply move on. Someone else can post a puzzle.
