Crypto games

Come in, relax, play with your friends! You can find something for everybody here. You can even find threads with no particular point at all, other than a good time! You can even start up some role playing.

Crypto games

Post by Randall »

As inspired by Leeward and Adagio, I will be, over the next week, be setting up a few fun crypto challenges. The idea is not to test people, but to introduce people to the world of cryptography in a fun, and relaxed way.

As we all know, with government spying, and increasing amounts of online fraud, its in our best interests to teach everyone, big and small, about crypto.

I will be running similar challenges at work, which will share the same website I am busy setting up to host the necessary materials.

Sounds fun. Is this computer encryption? Grade 10 IT PAT was to create an encryption and decryption program but we had to use Scratch.

This is for programmers and non-programmers alike. Pencil and paper usually required.

Cool. Are the players encrypting or decrypting?

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A TON OF FUN!
I don't know much about cryptography! But I have been fascinated by it for... Ever...
I tried programming a Pascal version of the Enigma, but I couldn't finish it...

I love games where you actually need to use your brain!

Count me in!

I used to be big into trying to learn cryptography for a while before I found the forums. For anyone wanting to get warmed up for this epic thread to be, give this website a thorough read through. This is gonna be fun!
