Hmmm i really don't understand this forum role playing , can somebody please explain?

I'm pretty new to it but it's basically the same as any other rp, just with some more detail.

Taken from the D&D 4rth-edition PHB:
"A roleplaying game is a storytelling game that has
elements of the games of make-believe that many of
us played as children."

Basically.... it is a place to be your own furry self, act as your' character and pretend to do as you do!
it sounds childish but if it can grow on you rather well.... i mean, if your a psychotic unimaginative ADD-individual who just needs to kill something in a prebuilt environment every five seconds!.... thas cool.... stick to ready made PC or console games.... but if you want to do anything that you wouldn't want to do in any situation given to you! ROLE PLAY IT :3
it may take a few minutes and step back, watch people role play before you can get into it.... but otherwise embrace it and try it!
