Screen Capture or convert CS:GO to avi

#1

Post by Rakuen Growlithe »

Anyone know a good screen capture programme or a way to save CS:GO replays to avi (or other video) format?

I tried the free version of Fraps which gives great video (huge though) but only allows 30 seconds. Then I tried Flashback Express. It won't go over 30 fps and the video looks terrible. Before I've tried recording in CS:GO itself but the audio and video do not sync up which is a headache on its own and the replay manager is the worst designed piece of software I've ever had the displeasure to use so it takes 30 minutes just to start recording the section that I want. I can't keep going through that. Ideally I would like to just record the screen and tell CS:GO to replay a specific round and then be done with it.

You can try debut. It does leave a watermark in the free version, and I'm not too sure about the quality. I use it to record from my webcam, but it also does screen capture

Probably not the best there is, but I thought I'd mention it

Try Xsplit Broadcaster maybe?

It's technically used for streaming. But can be used to record too

I gave Xsplit Gamecaster a try. It did just what I wanted with no fuss. Thanks both for the suggestions.
