Hello all , well I'm a big fan of android. Do you think is going to be the next big thing?

But also what I'm loveing is these new phones coming out such as the samsung s2(wich is out all ready) , nexus and s3
S2 has a awesome 1.2 ghz duel cpu and 1 gig ram and running android ice cream sandwich

S3 is looking even better with its 1.5 quad core cpu and 2 gigs of ram and better screen running you guest it android. I wounder how the battry will last should be fine?

I have a htc magic cpu of 525 OC 710clocked with a 288 mb of ram (can't remeber but its around there) running android 2.3.3 custom rom hboot, spl and recovery flash I all I almost brick it long story it had taking me 3 months to fix it but I fix it yay! Lasts me 3 days with out charging if its idealing and a hole day playing games and having the screen on bright... Iv had it for 2 years now and still loving it but I want that samsung s3...

I have Android and I think it's better than other smartphone OSes but Google could make it even better. But what do you mean the "next big thing?" After what? Android is the big thing. It's the most popular OS for smartphones with 20% more of the US market than iOS.

I see... yes I do agree they could make it it a lot better, they just holding back so in the newer android OS is better so you would want to upgrade your OS... I think they don't want to bring everthing out if they do then people have really nothing to look forward to but there always well be new and better android os out so its pointless really...

I was more meaning the criticism I've hard regarding how open it is. I think Android is based on Linux and is meant to be open-source type project but Google doesn't allow root access or people to modify the OS for themselves.

All I know is I love my Android tablet. Having worked with Windoze mobile devices before (and have the unfortunate honor of my current phone being one), as well as Apple iOS devices I'll say it's pretty damn good comparatively.

got my self a LG optimus black brand new... i fixed me freinds sony experia s and he gave me his LG optimus back, he flashed the wrong kernel so I had to get the phone to reboot and then using the comand promt to reboot into fastboot which is the phones booting up program that reads the code and booting processe. then by wiping the kernel he had flashed i wiped it off the phone and flashed the right one on. and then the phone was half fixed then i had to flash a recovery, Android Recovery is the part of the phone's system that is loaded instead of the Linux kernel in certain circumstances. These may include:
System update
User entry.
then flash a custom rom using recovery. fixed!

but the usb drivers and other files where a pain in the butt!!!! had to install them manually to and then the other driver didnt want to work and so on.

I flashed my phone with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=1454274 rom
but first i had to root the phone that means extrating the original OS files and modding them using a tool.
now its overclock to 1.350 GHZ and all the crappy LG apps off and on with the new and better apps that comes with the custom rom, and the battery life is extended 50% more no stupid apps running for no reason.
