Jack Zylkin designed a sensor board that you put in your manual typewriter and plug into your PC via USB to act as keyboard. Steampunk fans rejoice!

I have typed on a typewriter... That's gonna be helluva uncomfortable, and draining...

It's neat, but this still screams gimmick.
It's the kind of thing that you type 3 emails on, and then never use again.

I'm gonna wait 3 months or so then google "person beats dark souls with a typewriter" :P
Other than that, maybe an older relative who used to type but doesn't like new PC keyboards?
It certainly does seem like a very niche / gimmick product, although most odd products on the Internet are :P

I don't think that this would be suitable for gaming, because 1) it registers key presses, not key holds, and 2) using WASD would jam it very quickly.
