Packing list

#1

Post by Sudan Red »

First local con, so having a whoooole car for stuff will tempt me to bring junk. In an attempt to only bring necessities, I'm making a list! #soorganised

DEFINITES:
- 2x Tracksuits (sorry folks, I aint gonna be stylin'!)
- Jeans
- Fluffy jacket
- Shirts
- Underwear & socks
- Toiletries
- Own pillow (because... pillow)
- Little blanket for kuier outside
- Charger & plug adaptor
- Power bank(s)

COOL TO HAVES:
- Sketchbook(s)
- Notebook
- Clipboard
- Art supplies (pencils, pens, colouring pencils etc)
- Plastic pocket
- Printed ref for my characters (?)
- Cellphone speaker

MAYBES:
- Fursuit head & paws (planning more on arting than suiting, so it becomes a liability)
- Some booze (is this allowed on-site?)
- Snacks (chippies, pretzels, bombay mix, marshmallows etc?)
- Coolerbox & ice

Did I miss anything obvious?

OK, booze is tolerated. Drunkenness is not. There are some activities that we also recommend you do not drink before, like the gladiator arena, for example.

Moderation then, please.

Can't speak for others, but I am hardly a heavy drinker. ;)

What's seating arrangements like? Should I drop some campchairs into the mix?

Sudan, you have to be among the most organized people I've seen. Not only a list of objects to bring along, but they're even categorized according to necessity. We now know whom we need at our sides in the event of a disaster.

I deal with anxiety through organisation! *stoic pose*

LOL! Nah this is just so people can point out obvious flaws in my "organisation" (which is often the case!). I usually forget obvious things like towels.

PS another good reason to keep me around when a zombie/monster invasion happens, is that I am a poor runner! You'll have at least one bit of zombie/monster fodder that will help you get away.

Oh, you absolutely positively HAVE to bring your head and paws! Not negotiable.

A few other things to pack!

MEDICATION
- any prescription meds
- any accute meds for conditions you occassionally suffer from (think anti-histamines, antacids etc)
- small first aid kit that includes at least: anti-emetic for nausea, anti-diarrhoea meds, anti-imflammatory like ibumol, anti-spasmodic for abdominal cramps, Rennies, plasters & pain meds

Remember, we're out in the sticks. Have something to tide yourself over until we can get you to a pharmacy or doctor

Welcome to one of my obsessive coding standards. If order doesn't matter to the execution of the code, then the lines must be alphabetically arranged.

Object initializers are the big one, for me.

Hey, Sudan. Extra seating would be a good idea. Camping or folding chairs would work well outside.

Also, feel free to bring along anything along the lines of entertainment. Handheld consoles, Magic the Gathering, whatever you feel like. There will be a large collection of board games present for anyone who wants to play during the event, but if you want to bring something else (at your own risk, of course) by all means bring it along.

We have sent out a final email to all attendees with the schedule, and some information about the venue, what to pack, etc. Please let me know if you did not receive it.

The website says its part of a spa.
Probably only meant to service 1 person at a time.
