Is there any news or plans made as of late to anything regarding a 2017 Convention?

As far as my knowledge goes, there is just an idea, no formal plan at this stage. There was supposed to be a convention this year but it was put on hold due to reasons, that were made known. I cannot remember off the top of my head.

There is more than a plan at this point. We have a few things to clear up and we'll have information on it posted soon. I am fielding questions in my personal capacity at present but for now, the con is a definite go for next year.

I wanted Ivic to post first, as he's the main driving force, but I've been involved in the planning as well. The planning is in an advanced stage, and we'll make an announcement imminently. I was planning on announcing it last week, but life happened.
