Branded Wallets

#1

Post by Aeowyn »

I've figured out how to make a wallet, and thought it'd be fun to make one with my fursona branded on one side. Anyone interested in a canvas wallet with their 'sona on? I'll have to actually make mine and see how pricy before I can give a price here, but I guesstimate about R50-R60.

If course the option extends to other items as well, such as cellphone holsters, cigarette box holders, any manner of small useful cloth container, really... you can send me a drawing if you want something custom and I'll make it work (no 11-dimensional bags of holding please)

Defenitely considering this, as I dont have a wallet yet, but I'm pretty much broke for the next two months, seeing as I may be getting a fursuit, hehe. So if I forget, please do remind me in a few months time, hehe

can you make it to specification? like a clear front bit where one puts the license and a folded card holder compartment and stuff

I certainly intend to do custom specs, but I'm frankly dead-set against leather... if I can find a suitable alternative..?

I hope this doesnt count as trolling...

You're probably against using leather cause they kill animals to get it. I would agree with you, except with cow leather. They dont kill the cows for the leather, they kill them for the meat. So either use the skin, or just dump it somewhere... Either way the cow is dead, so not using the leather is literally a waste. But yea, your choice there...

As for alternatives, my sis's wallet is made from a really strong plastic. Its waterproof, feels good and looks really good (has prints on it, looks like Kurt Cobains death certificate), so yea, look into that I guess. If not, a sturdy material should do, but I doubt thats waterproof. Or dono...

Vinyl plastic based Faux leather, Metro sells it by the meter for something like R150 p/m, there is another fabric shop I know of about 20 mins drive from centurion that has it for a lot cheaper allso keeps lots of faux fur :P

As for animal products I prefer knowing the we use the entire animal and not letting things go to waste, but thats just me...

*tries to be vegetarian, I don't believe we should be killing animals at ALL...* I'll have a look at faux leathers while I'm there, I do know they carry that. The canvas I'm mainly going to be using seems very durable though, so it should last a very long time...

My wallet was stolen at the Metallica concert, So I could really use a new one ^^

I'd like to see an example before I make an order though, but it sounds good so far!

you're a pretty good artist, from what I've seen... why not do a composite pic of all 12? just as long as it can be shrunk without too much lost detail...
