Mind Control Freaks on discovery channel :3

Tokyo Ghoul. I watched the first few episodes when it first came out, but the absolute wimpiness of the MC combined with the grotesque censorship (giant swathes of black shadows that sometimes covered up 80% of the screen) really put me off.

The new version is uncensored (thank God), so I'm giving it another chance. Hopefully the MC won't stay a total bitch forever.

Contrast I watched that as they were coming out the start of this year.
MC does the standard anime "I took a class in badassery" thing eventually.

I'm catching up on the new Adventures of Rick & Morty season 2. It's difficult to describe, like Doctor Who on an acid trip. It gets surprisingly dark at times but remains incredibly funny.

I just finished Sword Art Online, and season 2 of Game of Thrones.

Sword Art Online -> Harems aren't just for non-action genres any more!

How's the second season of SAO?

Huh? SAO isn't harem... Season 2 is actually quite good. I like the ending. Or rather the fact that it has one. I hate it when a show just ends without a conclusion.

We watched The Martian last night. I preferred the book, but the film definitely was worth watching.

Well probably not a harem, but every female character just likes the protagonist for no reason. He attracts girls all the time while staying dark and moody. But on the other hand I really liked the setting and rules of the universe, and the art was gorgeous! Just didn't like main cast.

The first episode of One Punch Man got leaked ages ago, but the official debut was yesterday. I'm so glad they're staying true to the manga. Everything about this story is so over the top - violence, gore, and heaps of tongue-in-cheek humour.

My amazing BF got me Gladiator on Blu-ray - he knows that it's my favorite film. We watched it tonight; it still holds up perfectly.

I watched Selfless last night, a new movie with Ryan Reynolds. Honestly I had no idea what to expect when it started but it ended up being a very cool movie

Usagi Drop. It's such a sweet, heart-warming little anime.
Yeah, I'm a giant softy, so sue me. :3

Lucky for me, I really have to struggle to see the "cross-eyed" effect. My brain just automatically sees the "pupils" as part of the frame (which they are). It's probably because the glare is the first thing I see and identify, which makes it almost impossible for me to convince my eyes that they're seeing something on the other side of the lenses.

As for what I'm watching right now, I'm about to start the "Ninja Scroll" anime. It's kind of old, but I hear it's quite good.

It's called a Query String. In this case, it contains the video id, and can additionally contain a time in the video.
