Favourite James Bond movies
What are your favourite James Bond movies and why? Mine in descending order of favouriteness are:
Live and Let Die
Great theme song.
I loved music in the intro seen in New Orleans and then this part:
"Who's uh... funeral is this?"
"Yours" *stabs him with a flick knife*
The voodoo theme in the movie was just brilliant, as was TeeHee's sinister laugh... by the way this has got to be the only Bond movie where a major bad guy doesn't die in the end.
Diamonds are Forever
Mr Wint & Mr Kidd made this movie... and Blofeld was played by the guy who teaches you the Timewarp in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. And this movie was just plain weird... which I loved
Goldfinger
The character Goldfinger himself made this movie for me. Oh and of course... Miss Galore.
The Man with the Golden Gun
Christopher Lee who played three-nippled Francisco Scaramanga made it.

Re: Favourite James Bond movies
I loved "On her Majesty Secret Service" but that was because it had an awesome skiing scene in it! Hehe.
Moonraker was simpply just weird, but interesting!
I found "The Man With the Golden Gun" to be good with the touch of the 1970s!
The latest movie, Casino Royale was pretty good because they changed the style a lot to a more darker and grittier than the previous recent films.
But I have not seen Bond films for a long time, so I would need to see them again to see which one I like the best.
Cheers, Red.

This might be a tad bit off topic, but i was wondering if it's just me who feels that Casino Royale was a bit dissapointing, or do you fuzzlies think so too?

Re: Favourite James Bond movies
Well, it could have been a big gamble that they made because they changed the format and style of the James Bond series to a more realistic theme rather than a action packed explosive fantasy movie. I was a bit dissapointed that it was a little bit too realistic in terms of what kind of feats he did, but the production of the film was well handled and style used in the film was an interesting choice used there. So it is really a matter of opinion of the viewers in the end.Wolfers wrote:This might be a tad bit off topic, but i was wondering if it's just me who feels that Casino Royale was a bit dissapointing, or do you fuzzlies think so too?

I kinda liked it... more than the Bond movies just before it. But I'm still a fan of the really old ones . I guess the soundtrack is kinda important to me and I miss the classic John Barry themes the older ones had (he's also the guy that did the soundtrack for Dances with Wolves and Out of Africa).Wolfers wrote:This might be a tad bit off topic, but i was wondering if it's just me who feels that Casino Royale was a bit dissapointing, or do you fuzzlies think so too?
And I'm really curious to see how the next film is gonna turn out...

Re: Favourite James Bond movies
I have read the summary of what the story line is supposed to be like in the next film and it does sound VERY interesting, so I guess that Casino Royale was used to change the direction of the general theme in James Bond movies and put in new characters in that would make the plot more exciting to watch with some face off likely in the next film, so I would keep an eye on it!ShyWolfie wrote:I kinda liked it... more than the Bond movies just before it. I too am more a fan of the newer Bond movies. Haven't seen Casino Royale yet though, but the ones I liked best are Tomorrow never dies, Die another day and Goldeneye.

I was never into Bond strangely enough.. *hides me face with paws in shame*.until the newer ones came along...
But yeah I think Daniel Craig does pull off the job well enough, loved Casion Royale.
Can't wait for Quantum of Solace later this year.

Re: Favourite James Bond movies
Don't feel bad, I never watched Bond either. I saw one movie (and not even the whole thing). Something to do with gun smuggling and bond was arrested and then escaped from his own people and I think was going to infiltrate an island then. And there was a sword fight. Unless I'm mixing up a few movies.
