I'm pleasantly surprised that animal movies haven't been predominantly overriden this thread! :D Though I like them, they're escapism. :P

Best made movie I've watched: The Departed.
Best movie I laughed at: Scary Movie 3 & 4
Best movie I loved to watch over and over again: Shall we Dance... dun mock me! ;_;
Best lame movie ever: Bring it on again and Epic Movie.
Best animal movie: Eight Below. :P I'm a husky, so sue me.
Best animated movie: Over the Hedge. (not cause of the characters, but the everything else about that movie, the flow, the animation, especially the music <3)

Best movie ever D: D: D: : Saw. ;) The first one kicked ass. Though I need to check up on the next 347 volumes.... I mean the next 4 volumes of it. :P
You could of knocked me out with a.... I know you've heard this all before... Why, why, why won't world revolve around me?...

Have you seen the British SHERLOCK series at all, the one with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman?

Does anyone possibly have a copy of Spirited Away they'd be willing to sell? It's one of my top favourite movies, other than all of Laika's and Tim Burton's movies! :D
Dying to get my hands on it so I can watch it with my sister and fangirl over NoFace again :)

I do have a copy, but selling it is tricky, as my son will have a fit if he cannot watch it no more
Let me first find out if I can sell it.

Oh no hey, keep it for your son! I don't want to take such a fun movie away from him. I'll have a look on Takealot and the works instead.
No stress :)

I love those! But they're not exactly movies... They're more like very long series...

Yeah, I was exaggerating a bit.

But Secondhand Lions is definitely a movie I'd recommend to people, even if I didn't know them at all.
Because it has so many elements. Comedy, Action, Adventure, Drama, Romance, it has the lot.
Minimal violence and no offensive language.

Kung Fu Hustle. There are so many unexpectedly badass moments in there, especially when viewing it for the first time.

A relatively unknown movie which always seems to stick in my mind is Sliding Doors.
Others are
The Green Mile
5th Element
Defiance
The Highlander
The original Star Wars trilogy
Blade Runner

I have way too many favorite movies to even know where to begin...
Secondhand Lions is really good. As to your point about it having everything, I'll also suggest The Princess Bride, and to a lesser extent, Big Fish.
I really like a lot of the old classic Disney movies, both the animated ones that everyone remembers (The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast are among my favorites) and the excellent live-action ones that no one ever seems to mention...
The original Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings movies are excellent, of course. The James Bond movies are fun too.
Some of my more recent favorites include Japanese movies. Studio Ghibli has made some excellent films (Howl's Moving Castle, for instance, is fantastic). I've also very much liked the movies Wolf Children and Summer Wars.
Also Guardians of the Galaxy is pretty great too.
I should really stop there, because I could go on forever. I didn't even mention horror movies I like, or a few dozen other things.
