I'd suggest applying some upward force when installing it (so that the screws hold it properly) - or installing it when the case is flat on the ground.

Alternatively, or if the above doesn't help, you could ghetto-rig / make a GPU stand like this:
I did notice that when I was working in there too. I saw that mentioned in a review as well because the weight of coolers but it said it wasn't a major issue. It was installed with the case on its side. Of course now it's been standing vertical for months. I could see about some sort of support though. Not sure what I'd use.

I've never had an issue with my GPUs (and I've owned some of the heaviest), but it definitely seems case-related. So maybe try propping up the GPU when installing. Or temporarily use a cut wooden rod from a home depot shop - colored black to blend in.

So Ryall decided that his PC could do with an upgrade, and asked me to decided on some parts and help him assemble it.
This is the result:

Mobo: Asus Maximus VIII Ranger Intel Z170
CPU: i5 6600K @ 4.7GHz
GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 AMP Extreme 8Gb DDR5
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB (2x 8GB) 3200MHz DDR4
PSU: SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W
Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC14PE
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv

I had fun putting this together.
20160906_104006.jpg
20160906_104029.jpg
20160906_104119.jpg
It runs pretty cool and quiet, even under full load; Ryall keeps going to turn it on not realizing it is on already.

As a tech-y this is definitely the first thread I visit on any forum. :3

I tried to insert pictures, but @ insane_resolution, I'd rather not, ya'll can look if you want to, Pictures are at my Imgur:

Finished my build a few months ago, built myself 2x gaming computers. Why two? Why not.
(One is a stay-at-home and the other is a LAN-box)

Stay-at-home:
Enthoo Evolv ATX Tempered-glass edition.
Intel i7-4690K @ 5Ghz
32GB DDR3 1866 HyperX Fury
Noctua NH-D14 Air cooler
2x Galax Hall Of Fame GTX 1080
MSI z97 Gaming 7.
Seasonic snow silent 1050w PSU
Phanteks XP edition case fans.
~1TB Samsung evo 750 SSD storage (multiple drives)
~5TB HDD storage (multiple drives)

Lan Box:
Enthoo Evolv ITX (white!)
Intel i5-4690K @ 4.5Ghz
16GB DDR3 1866 G.Skill
Corsair H80i-GT All-in-one cooler.
Sapphire AMD R9 Nano.
MSI z97i Wifi
Antec Truepower classic 750W
Arctic el-cheapo fans.
~1TB Samsung evo 750 SSD storage (multiple drives)
~2TB HDD storage (multiple drives)

I'll definitely skip over the older computers and the many laptops in my possession, as those above are my main gaming devices.
Why the overkill graphics? Gaming at 144hz @ 2K resolution is simply beautiful. (Battlefield 1 anyone?)

All my purchases done through wootware, bar one or two components which I acquired years ago from evetech.

Everything sits behind a wonderful 750VA, 200Ah UPS system. (Which I am using right now, as our wonderful country never seems to have electricity, it keeps everything running for a good 12-hours or so if I'm gaming.)

That's my stuff. At least, some of it. :3

I finally treated myself to a new PC case...

Deep Cool Tesseract White...

I wanted to get the black one. But they didn't have the windowed one in stock...
But once I saw the white one... WOW! Instant love!

First time I did cable management aswell, and I did pretty well me thinks!

Also got the Redragon Karura keyboard (I was mentioning to Kirtaro that I disliked my regular keyboard, and liked the feel of my Laptop keyboard... And he mentioned this one...)
And the Redragon Lagopasmutus headset, and the mousepad...
I still have my R.A.T. 5... Though its getting kinda old... LOL!

Intel Core i5 3470
4GB DDR3 RAM
Intel motherboard... Nothing fancy....
Have 3HDD's
Seagate Momentus 1000GB
Seagate Momentus 2000GB
Seagate Momentus 500GB

The 2000GB one is the one causing the annoying vibrations...

I currently have a GForce GT540M in there...
I'm looking for a secondhand graphics card if anyone has one...

Nice. Replace the fans on the H115i - they're terrible. I put some EK Vardars on mine. They idle at 60rpm.

I was quite pleasantly surprised to find out that my work PC has an i7-6700 in it. Slap a 1080 in that beast, and it would be one hell of a gaming rig.

...

I also built my sister a new PC, which has a i5-6500 and an EVGA GTX 1060 6GB. For the amount that it all cost, it runs really well.

...

If you guys are wondering what I'm running, prepare to be amazed:
2500K @ 4.8Ghz
EVGA GTX 570 SC 2.5GB

Yeah, it hasn't been upgraded in six years now.

Highest I got was 5.2Ghz or so for benchmarking, but the voltage was over 1.6v for that - so obviously couldn't keep it 24/7.

Storage= one barracuda 1tb and a barracuda 250gb
Motherboard= AsRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
Case= cooler master storm
Case fans= 2 extra 120mm cm fans with the fans that came with the case
And some WiFi pci card not sure which

Ooh, I would love to get a case that can actually hold my AIO.
I'm currently rocking a
-Coolermaster CM Force 500 tower (with half the HDD rails removed for front mounted AIO)
-Asrock x370 Gaming K4 (when I get a new tower I'll switch back to my x370 Killer SLI
-Ryzen 7 1800x @3.9GHz (on all 8 cores)
-G.Skill RGB 3000MHz 16GB @2600MHz (because the pc bombs out if I go higher, I just can't even -_-)
-Corsair MP500 120GB M.2 (boot drive)
-Galax GTX 970 HOF (a bargain second had @ R3300)
-5TB of x2 2TB and x1 1TB drives
-Coolermaster Masterliquid Pro 240 to keep those 8 cores under 65C

Ideally for my next build I want to go super compact in the GHOST S1 MkII from Louqe.com, perhaps in 5 years time there might be another form factor I really like, who knows.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 64 Gaming OC; 8192 MB HMB2

Motherboard: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming

OS: Antergos Linux (4.18.16-arch1-1-ARCH)

I had a bunch of weird crashes with my old system, upgraded PSU and GPU but kept getting crashes. Upgraded everything else then went through a nightmare of trying to find the crash by removing or replacing everything I could. I still never found the source of the crashes but it didn't crash yesterday or today... I don't think it's my hardware. I started recording crashes and I'm not seeing a pattern. Given everything I've tried, I suspect it might be something in the building because there are a lot things being done to the building. Hopefully it will just stop.

I had considered sticking in my old R9 280 as well for virtualisation but now I'm fiddling with Steam Play which is supposed to help games run on Linux. So far Dishonored 2 wouldn't start at all but Tomb Raider: Underworld seems to run without any issues. I also stuffed a bunch of new fans in there because the Ryzen 7 seems very capable of generating heat.

Problem was the new card was defective. It's been sent back and I've got the replacement which seems to be working fine in stress test so you can probably discard most of the text under the picture. Specs above are all correct. Well, kernel's been upgraded...

Seeing so many uni students with beasts of a system. How dafuq do you guys afford it? :P I am just happy to have my quadcore 8th gen i5, 8GB RAM 2GHz processor Dell laptop. And I had to dig into savings for that.

Taking it to Aandklas and showing how it at least has an HDMI port gets me all the girls.

Well I dunno about others. I may be a PhD student but I'm also, till the end of the year at least, employed as a researcher so getting a salary. Actually that was one of the reasons I looked to Europe for a PhD, in most programmes you get paid. Unlike South Africa where you have to pay to study even when you're doing research that they would normally have to pay a pretty penny for.
