The Disney Infinity / Nintendo Amiibo Chessboard
This is a meaty project I am going to get myself into. The idea is not mine, it comes from my furry friend Adagio. However its still a bloody cool-ass idea so I will start with it soon.

It's not something new...
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/633202-s ... u/70994640
I mean that's from may 2015...
I've seen static chessboard with the toys as pieces, in fact there was a whole section of Comicon that featured some...
You piqued my interest and I started looking around at what the world has to offer and I couldn't find anything concrete...
But I'm pretty sure it's something that's being worked on somewhere...
Not to say you shouldn't work on whatever you want to... it's just... not a new idea...

Well actually it's an expansion of my idea that Adagio helped me with, but with a nice little twist.
I'll try not to spoil the fun but it's not the same as your normal Amiibo chess set, it's got a lot more to offer. I'll leave it to Randall to explain the rest if he feels like it.

So I saw an article yesterday, Disney is discontinuing the Infinity.

I'm not too surprised but I do think it was a bit too soon after Disney Infinity 3.0 was released.Asbjorn-phoenix wrote:So I saw an article yesterday, Disney is discontinuing the Infinity.

They are discontinuing it which is OK. AFAIK there's still Nintendo Amiibo which is compatible at the hardware level.
But yeah, most people were just collecting the action figures, because let's face it,the level of detail and quality thereof was astounding. The game itself was kind of a hard-sell.
They were also expensive, which is what killed them only really dedicated people seemed to collect them. I think they were made at a loss, because I have seen some anime statues, with less detail, cost double the price of one of them.
At any rate I just hope to get the last ones before they become too hard to get.. the ones from Zootopia/Zootropolis are first prize

Yeah, my sister has a good few of them, and she's never even played the game.
