SALE!!!!!1

I thought I'd start a thread where we can let each other know of ongoing sales, particularly very limited-time ones.

For starters, check out the Halloween sale on Steam which ends on Tuesday. I just bought myself The Witcher I and II for like 60 bucks.

The only thing that I was interested in was the Shadow of Mordor GoTY upgrade, and that wasn't in sale. I would have loved to buy The Witcher 3, but between my trip to the states, and the fact that I'm probably going to end up spending upwards of 70 grand on motorcycles these next few months means that I cannot spare the cash.

I mostly keep looking at sales on humble bundle, g2a and steam.

Dono if the humble bundles are even worth mentioning here. Every second tuesday and every thursday, you can get a few games for really cheap, and support charity. Usually smaller, indie games, but there's sometimes bigger bundles. I would post details every week, but I'm sure everyone who's interested would look anyway...

Also, g2a... You can get a bunch of good games at a lot cheaper prices than steam, even on steam sales. The way they work, if I understand correctly, is that, for example, a $12 game would be 10 pounds, or 10 euros (Don't actually know, just guessed those values). Even though exchange rates change, those prices stay the same, and thus it's actually cheaper in some countries than in others. People exploit this by buying thousands of keys in countries where it's cheaper, and selling it where it's more expensive. Though, this can't possibly explain all the low prices... I presume people also buy keys on sales and sell it there while it's not on sale, even though that is against terms and conditions. Anyway, while this is legal, it is highly frowned upon by game developers and steam... So try to use other methods to get games :P

Actually that is precisely why I created this thread. I like Humble Bundle, but I don't check it all that often because every time I do, all I see is unfinished indie games I'm not really interested in playing/beta testing. If there's something more complete on sale though, popular or unheard of, I would be interested to hear about it.

I check humble bundle every time there's a new bundle... I guess I'll post here if there's something noteworthy

Her Holy Cowness approves.

In all seriousness, you guys should also check Green Man Gaming. They often have good sales.

So, the humble jumbo bundle 5 has grown. A bunch of good games in there... And they just added euro truck and a few other games to it...

I already own Euro truck simulator 2... Who wants a free copy? It's surprisingly fun, driving through europe... Except that I suck at driving. My gta tactic of nudging other cars out of the way doesn't work on it... Especially when playing online...

More on the bundle, a bunch of games I haven't played yet, so can't recommend. But a few of them look really good. There's even a 4 pack of a zombie game, contagion. If you've got friends who aren't yet bored of zombie games, could be fun

Would recommend Night of the Necrodancer for anyone into the combination of RPG and rhythm games. 7$

Crypt of the Necrodancer*

And yes, great game. Much more of a roguelike than a rhythm game, really. First time I played it, I used a bunch of custom songs and quickly grew bored. Then later decided to just play with the default music, enjoyed it much more

New humble weekly bundle, actually looks really good. If you're a cheapskate, for $1, you can have Jazzpunk, How To Survive, Overlord and Devilian. For an extra $2.06 (current price, it is the beat the average, so it changes), you also get a third person How To Survive (Umm... I think that's it? Same game, but in third person?), a flaming hat for Trove, It Came From Space And Ate Our Brains, Overlord 2 and Shadow Gate. Finally, if you pay $9 or more, you get all that, plus "Secret Ponchos", a game I've never heard of and won't research just for in case I want it (I don't want to pay $9 :/)

It's breaking width?
Sorry, I wont use the images again.
They looked fine to me, but I'm zoomed in on chrome all the time, so maybe that's why

Aren't you a mod? Can't you edit the posts to delete the pictures? Or alternatively use scaled images?

This forum really, really needs to constrain images to the centre size.

Freestate Community Rep, not a mod.

I'll attach images in future, won't link again

The images are a bit wider than the usual forum width but they don't push it off the screen and there's no need to scroll sideways. I could remove them if it's really necessary but keeping one thread perfectly constrained doesn't seem that urgent.
