I believe enough time has passed since Skrillaxatives took the old Tempa reggae style dubstep and created whatever the hell brostep really is to actually ask the question: What happened to the darker perspective on the sound that seemed to have faded away in the last 3 years with happy go lucky Disney music?
You know, tracks like these:

Hahaha that's true, awesome song. I guess when producing music sometimes you kinda just throw anything out there and people will like it?

Here's something I love listening to specially when gaming on Dota 2
Yeah I know this, Excision and Datsik both sound like transformers having sex.
This more uplifting track from Stephan Swartz still gets me every time though:

I enjoy more of the minimal deep techno and house stuff though. Always been a weird taste of mine in the dance music scene. Some people absolutely hate it except if it plays in a nightclub then they normally can't get enough. It's to do with the emphasis on counter melodic patterns such as a dotted percussion not resolving till the entire phrase is over or something. Yet it's ridiculously repetitive and hypnotic at the same time. I'll make a thread for it one day but can almost guarantee that it'll only be me posting in it lol.
I still need to rework my dubstep attempts. Shit mastering is shit.
Lolies, everyone has there own taste, like you I enjoy my unique and wired melodies. I'm sure some people will like it. I even enjoy my psytrance. When I'm in the right type of mood.

Liked the song. Skrillex is who got me into dubstep but i now listen to mostly different artists. I listen more to melodic and chilstep more then the grunge dubstep.
