This song made me want to find a tall building, struggle up the stairs and run to the top floor, to fling myself off and hope that I have wings to fly and if not, to find what tomorrow brings...

Kevin Penkin did a really good job with the music for Made In Abyss. He's Australian, I think, which you won't find very often in the anime industry.

The bells in this creep me the fuck out (especially at the 17 sec mark). I think it might be because it's an inherently "cheerful" sound by itself, but it's paired up with those creepy AF Lunarians. It creates a kind of dissonance in my brain. The appearance of these creatures always creates a sense of dread and impending doom, and yet they have these happy bells to announce their arrival. It's like the show is telling you they delight in the hunt, and that it's a source of joy for them. That just makes them even more horrible, in my opinion, like a serial killer humming "I'm Walking on Sunshine" while he hacks you to bits.

Three Days Grace released their new album and it is pretty neat.
I will probably be listening to it a fair bit in the coming days.

This warms my soul. :3

I've had this song stuck in my head over the last day or two, and then a comment on this video left me with a revelation of its origin, along with massive feels. ;-;
