Don't know it. This is my first time listening to it and it's the tail end of a meandering trail of thought that ended up in a song about Bronies. For interest's sake and as I write elsewhere...
I'd recently been thinking it'd be fun to invite people to a "back to the 80's party" only I wouldn't tell them I meant 1880's. I thought that'd be amusing but then I was curious what music I would have which lead me to Google 1880's music. Barring a slight diversion to read the Wikipedia entry for funiculars I noticed that Pirates of Penzance was popular around that time. Now, I'm rather fond of musicals and had heard that one's name so I gave it a listen. In there there is a song called "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General" which I knew was referenced in Hamilton so then I read the Wikipedia entry for that which said it was often parodied and in fact says that John de Lancie and Tara Strong's song in the documentary about Bronies is a pastiche of Modern Major General song.

This might sound a bit narcissistic, but every time I hear this music I keep thinking what a cool theme it would make for Banno. I guess all writers occasionally think about stuff like that. I do it with voice actors, too.
