this is a pretty long story, but the summarised version:

Girl broke (read: "ripped out") my heart in Matric a couple years back, didn't have a social life last year in an attempt at First Year Mechanical Engineering, after dropping outta that and starting a BA, i have a life again, and have fully recovered only recently enough to feel the need for someone to nuzzle...

if she's a furry, that'd be all the much cooler, but they seem pretty rare in ZA...

Even though I am not from ZA I voted Yes, and the other is a furry too.

As you might have read in the long distance relationship thread, I am mated to Acey who is a furry in ZA. We plan on living with each other hopefully in around a year or so. I love him so much and can't wait for him to finally be here with me in Canada.

Well, i used to be in a relationship, which i thought to be very stable and lasting, until about two weeks ago, when he broke up with me. A coon from the US. Now, things are just awkward between us... he says we should wait and see, but that uncertainty is driving me insane... Unless i give up all i have here, and go live with him, there doesn't seem to be much more hope. I voted "Maybe" above.

Timba... found him one night in ocean at Scarborough beach trying to end it all. Timba not much help 'coz he also wanted to cease (looong story).

Anyway, I don't think it's cool to be alone - especially after you've been with someone. Timba has always been pretty good at countering life's disparities with more mundane thingies like ice-cream on a HOT day, picnics with furiends, chasing butterflies and lazy naps on a Sunday afternoon in the embrace of one of Timba's 3 personalities...

I've never really been conscious of the latter variety. When I talk about relationships I mean serious ones.

Haven't been in a relationship in over 2 years now.. mostly coz I'm so busy with work that I don't really have the time to dedicate to a relationship, plus girlfriends are rather expensive and i'm focusing on putting all my money back into my businesses (starting an ISP is expensive..hmmm..might as well spam here - anyone interested in ADSL 1GB including line rental R199/m or 3GB R299/m? hehe..sorry).

Other thing is I guess I'm quite shy when it comes to approaching women, and am very fussy about who I like. Wish there were female furries around..

I voted #4, but currently it's more of an #5. Wouldn't say no to a relationship, but I don't really know if I'm ready, in mind or in pocket, just yet.

Sex is easy to find, relationships... not so easy, never even been in one. I guess I'm just not very friendly to people who get too close to me, it's not something conscious, it's just there.

Mmm. I suppose a lot of people would be wary of online relationships, whether that is local or international. However, I don't really see why people would make a distinction between RL relationships and what they call "internetlove". Personally i take my online relationship seriously, and have evey intention of moving that "offline" eventually".

I am single. I am looking for that special someone but being in such a amall town it is difficult.

I am kinda involved in a long distance relationship but it will never work. We both admitt that we are perfect for each other and that we are always on each others minds but we can never be more than really close friends.

It is sad but i am just grateful to have him in my life, even though it is only a small part of it.

*nods slowly* yea.. distance is a huge issue :/ and with soaring international prices, its not making things easier at all. *sighs*

But, at least you understand the consequences that a long distance relationship can do. Plenty of furs become literally hellbent to visit his/her mate. I completely understand the 'just' of it, but its a hell of an undertaking and unfortunately, in some cases, it ends up in a disaster sooner or later.

I used to be pretty much the same when I first joined the fandom. I was trying like crazy to get to the USA just to meet my mate in person. Looking back today I am thankful that I was unable to make the journey as it would have only caused a lot of hurt on my mates side.

I still want to meet him in person, just to be able to give him a hug and share in a face to face conversation.

I guess he was just hanging around me for too long hehe, and then he was like, "I'm a fur too"

So yeah, we're two furs, kind of living together, but I won't go into detail bout that hehe
