And that got me wondering what everyone's thoughts here were.

I saw that posted somewhere. It's stupid. >.< For one thing, centaurs have four legs and two arms. You could say that they have six limbs. But even that doesn't matter because the six legs thing is not a scientific classification, it's just a simple guide for everyday life. Actual classification is very different. While there are various keys for identifying things that use those basic external characters, any real attempt to classify organisms these days is done using genetics and cladistics. Classification on external characteristics is outdated and unreliable.

But maybe its just for fun.
