I have to give it to Lee, purely because of the amount of effort that went into it.

What, does Raven not even get a chance? Nice.

Anyway it was a toss up between Low Battery and Unplanned Pregnancy, but Low Battery won the moment I realised my phone was dying.

I don't particularly care. Not that it really means anything.

I'm just curious about how jokey most of them seemed. Was it last year or two years ago when they were much darker and everyone was using that weird font that looks disturbed. Is it just the world is too dark now and people needed something lighter?

All of the yes Rakuen.

Also I'm tired of trying to be dark and sinister... only to be reminder I'm actually just a puddle of squeaks.

I can't speak for the others, but the reason I didn't go all super dark this time is because, if you look back at all the posts I made during the previous Halloweens, I look like a total psychopath, talking about tasting people's deaths and stuff. Because the names and profile pics get changed back, it doesn't look like I was acting a part, and newcomers reading those posts would just think I'm straight up cray-cray. @.@

I definitely recall 2014 having been pretty dark (I, for one, ran my corrupted 'sona that year). I can't really recall the 2015 one, though. I do remember it feeling quite rushed, though.

Also, looking back at the character introduction thread, it seems that I was the first one to have introduced a singularly "jokey" character. Did others draw inspiration from me, I wonder?

Honestly I think the first one I noticed was Responsibility, which I found had changed earlier than you by looking at Adagio and his conversations in the Furmeet thread. He just didn't post to the Intro thread until a little later.

Though I don't think it was all that serious from the start, given Manalee, LRV and Johnson.

The first humorous persona I noticed was Obsidian's "Responsibility", which I found hilarious and will admit inspired me (hence I gave my vote to him). Still, as Cyn mentioned, there were others as well (Johnson, Manalee) who made the atmosphere more lighthearted.

Agreed! Responsibility was HILARIOUS and caught my eye right away!
He was the first I saw with that theme...
And I thought it was really unique and new...

But it seems you are dominating the charts "Low Battery"

My vote goes to Low Battery, it made me keep checking the icon in the corner of my screen every time I checked the forums.

Actually I've been jokey photomanipulated versions of myself from the beginning. I joined the forum in 2014, and that year I made a Na'vi version of my avatar at the time. Last year I spliced together Supercow and Leeroy Jenkins (if you don't know who that is) and called it Leeward Jenkins.
