I don't physically wish to go up there myself, that said however I do want to send up my own probes.
And I am taking a first step with that... laying the groundwork so to speak.

Well there we go then, another expert on board.
When I have my licence, which I am sitting in October for, I want to send my Canon Powershot "mik en druk" into the stratosphere and get some awesome pics, I need the downlink telemetry to locate it when it comes down.
At the moment I am having fun probing and playing with transponders on IntelSat 20.
As far as space hardware goes, its something I've been reading up about for decades. I have experience in rad hard stuff too.

Well, its being done at this moment in time Several home made ones have been up there. If you do have access to a lot of funds its even easier. You can hitch a ride on a communication satellite. Space Systems Loral offer this service to anyone, as long as you meet specific criteria and spaceworthiness, and have the dough.
