Ladies and gentlefurs, I give you the King of Pranks, the Ultimate Joker, the Spotted Scallywag, Ryall Hyena!

Sev and Randall, thank you for the laughs, I was canning myself with each response. You two fell for it hook, line and sinker.

You stupid bastards, perhaps you should consider that it was not yet April 1st on my side.

Secondly, with the way that people have behaving on this forum, another implosion did not seem out of place. I had assumed that Ryall had finally had enough of this forum, and decided to leave in his characteristic "I'm a mangy hyena" way.

Good sir, the time-zone setting used by Arizona is GMT-6 (or MST), which is nine hours behind or earlier than South African time (GMT+2). The thread was created at 08h59, GMT+2, meaning it was virtually at midnight in Arizona, and hence the beginning of April 1.

I am sorry for any offense caused to you from my own end. Yet, those involved were just trying to have some fun with the community. :) We do not think any less of you or Randall, and are glad you shared in it with us.

No, it was the culmination of some extremely unpleasant interactions between me and Ryall recently.

I even asked Vox why Ryall was acting like such an Ass.

That's between you two and has nothing to do with this. You didn't even have to respond to the OP, yet the first reply belongs to you. It's like you're looking for a fight.

No, I honestly thought that Ryall wanted to leave the forum, and that he wanted to do it in his characteristic way.

I knew that the monastery stuff was bullshit, as was the stuff about Vox, but much of the other stuff was pretty credible.

After all, recall that you left the forum for a good while because you spent too much time online.

I simply thought that Ryall wanted to concentrate on his work, his other hobbies, and his boyfriend.

So, yeah, I "fell" for that.

Thinking that he was actually going to a monastery or that his account had been hacked? Hardly.

What's with the SIC? I was referring to multiple people.

And did you really think that I was that stupid?
So other than you leaving [the forum / fandom], what, if any, of that is true?
By that, I meant you thinking that you spend too much time online or playing games.

I just had that argument with Ryall right now, but I looked it up and apparently you can use '[sic]' in cases other than spelling and grammatical errors. :P

Lyrics:

"Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I seen you around for a long long time, ya
I really remembered you when you drink my wine

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I seen you walkin' down in Chinatown
I called you but you could not look around

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I bring my money to the welfare line
I see you standing in it every time

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

The color of your skin don't matter to me
As long as we can live in harmony

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I'd kinda like to be the President
So I can show you how your money's spent

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Sometimes I don't speak right
But yet I know what I'm talking about

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I know you're workin' for the CIA
They wouldn't have you in the Ma-fi-a

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends..."

Okay fine, I may have deliberately misconstrued your continued interest in the topic as believing it, and for that I apologise. But seriously though, being made to feel stupid, today of all days, is really not all that big a deal (in most circumstances, there are exceptions). Laugh at yourself from time to time, it's not healthy to take life too seriously.

Back in South Africa, Leeward was my best friend, and, unless something changed, we should still be on really good terms with each other.

That's completely irrelevant to this current situation. People are making fun of me for falling for a stupid joke when I never even did.

Let it be known that I absolutely hate April Fools.

What are you saying Sev? That friends aren't allowed to laugh at friends, and that everyone must tread lightly around you because you're an overly sensitive Grumposaurus-Rex? :P

You like laughing at other people Sev. Don't be a hypocrite.

People can make fun of me, but joking about perceived incompetence or stupidity never goes down well. Make fun of my accent, my occasionally effeminate body language, whatever. Just don't call me gullible or naive.

I never even realized that it was the first of April. I've completely lost track of time here. I have to check what day it is, almost every single day.

@ Star, I'm not racist: that was just an observation. ;)

@ Sev, But that's the whole point of April Fool's: to catch the unwary off-guard! If you hadn't lost track of time, you wouldn't have been unwary and there would have been no fun. :P
Almost everybody is taken by surprise by April Fool's from time to time: including me and Leeward.

I guess so. I was actually planning on handing out a whole bunch of fake keys for Total Warhammer for April Fools, but decided against it.
