Goodbye - Joining a Monastery!
Dear fellow furries, I wanted to say that it truly has been an honor, and a privilege, to be a part of this kind, warm-hearted community for the past 7 years, however, all good things must end.
I am writing to you all to let you know, that I am pulling out of the corporate rat-race, quitting the modern-life, and am joining the Monastery of St Nektarius in Pretoria to become a monk and lead a life of meditation, peace and prayer.
Some of you will have noticed I have been slightly inactive on the forums recently. Well, it's been because I've been working hard, and thinking hard about this big decision.
Every morning for the past few years I have been waking up tired, depressed, and anxious, yet my pride has kept me locked into this life of materialism, vanity, and addiction (to PC gaming). And what has it brought me? Nothing but a damaged chakra, sullied chi, and a diminished aura.
Well I will enslave my spirit no longer! I will be free of this system! My inner-beauty will shine like never before!
I have the complete support of my family and friends - although some people I called "friends" view this as a cop-out - and I leave for Gauteng next week.
Of course part of this process will involve surrendering my addictions, which includes internet, and my twisted obsession with anthropomorphism, hence this goodbye.
I have spoken to my now-ex-boyfriend, VoxLupus. He refuses to see the truth, and insists on clinging to his hedonistic old life of consumerism, and sucking dick. My dear friend Fluke will remain an anime girl. Leeward is needed here, by you: her people. Dredge has said he will consider it, because he is a groupie.
And so I say goodbye, and farewell, my beloveds! May your spirits shine brightly, and may you all find peace, and enlightenment where I could not! I will miss you all dearly.

So other than you leaving, what, if any, of that is true?

Randall, search your feelings, and you will know it to be true.
Sev, I honestly believe that autistic children are demonically possessed. I wouldn't expect you to understand.Sev wrote:So other than you leaving, what, if any, of that is true?

Randall, you who have been sick and blind to the truth your entire life. How could you see what I see?
The only true freedom lies in the consciousness of the soul. Analyze yourself and determine to what extent your soul consciousness has been bound by the roots of ignorance. Real freedom is possible only when those roots are severed.
Only through the deepest introspection of the self will you find your divinity.

Unlikely, 1) this person knows way too much about Ryall, 2) this person talks exactly like Ryall.

Re: Goodbye - Joining a Monastery!
Ryall just sent me a private message... Saturated with new age wisdom.
I have seen the light. I was wrong - this is no mere troll.
He is the reincarnation of a demigod, sent from Valhalla to impart his furry insight to us mere mortals.
Stop, Ryall! Let me join you! Together, we can spread the gospel of Cthulhu.

Re: Goodbye - Joining a Monastery!
I honestly don't know what was funnier. Your beautiful speech bullshit of joining a monastery was cute, but ultimately we all know the faggot-ness within you will never bring it to light.
But this... c'mon guys. How did you not smell a post like this coming from a mile away?
EDIT: From what I've got to know of this Hyena though, this is all very possible. You have lost your way, brother. Go find your light in the Monastery

No offense Randall, but we all know to never take anything this Hyena says seriously, especially on a day such as thisRandall wrote:Can someone please check whether this user's account has been compromised please, maybe check the IP addresses and see if anything is strange there?

Hey everyone, I've just been on the phone to ZAFur's admin. My account was hacked, and looking at the posts, I would guess so was StargazingSerpent's account. Your accounts may have been compromised too. For details please refer to: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=3912

You know nothing, filthy heathen! Cthulhu shall exact his vengeance upon you, nonbeliever - especially if you had the audacity to feast on His creatures at a local Ocean Basket in the recent past!

Re: Goodbye - Joining a Monastery!
If it was a hacker, which I am not saying it was, he had to do a lot of research to sound like Ryall.
And anyway what would he want? Is there something here? Where? Just asking.

Re: Goodbye - Joining a Monastery!
Generally, with phpBB forums, once you have access to the user's accounts, it becomes a simple matter to say, alter the theme... delete the logo, deface the site, shitpost, etc...
Since I am just a regular joe here, I have no idea actually. Initially I suspected the account was compromised, but, upon reflection, I am not sure what is going on, because if you get hold of a user account on this forum, you'd go for the ones with admin rights.
The date also worries me, being the 1st of April, I do suspect that we're having the piss taken out of us.

Re: Goodbye - Joining a Monastery!
I personally think Ryall would make a stunning Monk. I can see him now, dressed in his little brown robes, fishnet stockings just peaking out of the bottom. I can hear the clippoty clop of the high heeled shoes he must hide so diligently from the head of the monastery, as he dashes daintily from self flogging session to silence hour...
It's beautiful.
It's beautiful.

Hahaha Raven.
Yes, who WOULD pull a prank like this on April Fool's day?
Okay, it's 12PM. Fun's over!
APRIL FOOLS!
My posts were completely ridiculous, and way out of character for me.
Sev I am surprised you didn't catch on immediately! Randall is new, and so at least he has an excuse. You were the first poster on my 2014 April Fool's joke!

... So...
I cannot make sacrifices to Cthulhu...?

Yup. April Fool's. Just to clear up any suspicions: I am not a cultist inspired by H.P Lovecraft. OrAmI?
