Bucket List

#1

Post by Randall »

Please put here a list of things you'd like to achieve before you die, or things you'd consider a lifetime achievement. Since I am the OP I will go first.

* To be able to direct, or at the very least be involved in direction and production of at LEAST ONE Sonic The Hedgehog title, or to work as a developer on the game.

* To eventually get my band together, and bring back the sort of music we enjoyed when we were younger, such as the style of Tears For Fears, Devo and The Police. In other words, new wave!

* To design and build a very fine analog and digital hybrid synth, something that sets the bar, like the Fairlight CMI and the Oberheim OB-Xa did back in the day.

* Spend 6 weeks at Illumination Entertainment, observing Chris Melendandri and co at work... and how they get it right to do those freaking minions and kids so extremely well.

My Bucket list is huge and complicated:

1) Move out of my parents house (check)
2) Have my own bachelorette flat
3) Own a house
4) Drive on the Top Gear Test Track
5) Visit a minimum of 10 cities on each continent
6) Record an album
7) Perform in at least one: Shakespearian Play
Musical
Television Series
Film
Indie Film
Voice acting for an animated film
8) Meet a member of the British Royal family
9) Donate more money to charity than I earned at my seven year stint at BMi Research...
10) Visit both poles...

For one of my novels to be made into a movie. To see a creation of my own imagination come to life on the silver screen, to be watched and enjoyed by millions.
That's all I really want out of life, and I work hard every day to accomplish that dream.

  • Build a snow sculpture
  • Learn to ride a unicycle
  • Dress up as a mime and troll the law students in my uni's library
  • Finish my fursuit and go out in public with it just for fun
  • Own a horse from foal to geriatric, break in and back it myself and eventually ride tackless
  • Go wingsuit flying

I don't even know anymore, life seems pretty pointless these days. Painful even.

Ride an Italian superbike, I guess.

My motto is you only live once, so make the most use of it that you can.
Hence I am quite old already, still learning new stuffs, still playing games, still trying things.

also, its not porn or anything so you don’t have to throw stuff at me just yet. it’s a kinda fantasy adventure story with scifi forcefully mixed inside. <_< i doubt i'll actually pull it off but you never know hey..

^_^ but that would be awesome! it may take a while before i get to recording lines but perhaps in future there will be a knock on your door then i'll be standing there all creepily with a microphone saying "leeward Shaw, you have a debt to pay." (but not really, i'll probably just poke you about it on deviant art lol)

Been wanting to for years to make a decent 3DCGI Sonic film, with cross-over furries i.e. wolves, foxes, and others, not the lame ultra dumb attempt we saw in Sonic Boom.

Wait.... Unless she looks like you.

Now let's get out the kiddy pool and back on topic.
Titanium hand implants might be nice.
I definitely want some bionic eye implants, but that's a reality not really a wish. We just have to wait for them to finish all the testing.

You may struggle to do this now she's married. I wish you luck in your endeavors...
Inpw wrote:7. Strap a lazer pointer to a cat's head.
I have done this with mixed results... on first attempt cat knocked over step mothers favourite crystal chandelier lamp... on second attempt cat removed most o the skin on the underside of my arm making it look as if I had been suicidal (still bear the scars) for years... third time was the charm with cat chasing itself for roughly twenty minutes before sticky tape gave way, lazer point flung off cat, knocking over step mothers favourite crystal vase...

Cost of Lamp: R850
Cost of Vase: R570
Cost of medical care for arm: R??? (I don't do medical care bitches)
Cost of seeing cat shit himself as lazer pointer flies from above his own head...

Frikken Priceless man...

almost as good as the time we bandaged a cat around the midriff (this causes them to become paralysed in the back legs. not physically... mentally... they genuinely think their back legs don't work...)

One thing I would still like to do is fly a 747 on the "southern route" i.e. Joburg to Cape Town.
Cessna and other small aircraft are just too limited, and don't quite offer the same thrill.

Should this not be in games and silliness? It could be an interesting discussion topic but it looks like a lot of people are just saying random things. :/

On the other hand, go out and do those things! There a couple on those lists that you can do. Today. Or very soon. If you just put them on a list to do in the future they will probably never be done. Phone band members today and say, "let's do this again." Go buy a unicycle. There was a guy at my school who used to unicycle to school. He also had circus training but not the point.

Unicycling is such a limited skill and an awful method of transportation. It's nice to hear someones making it work.

Actually, she does. Bit annoying, really. People get confused between us on the phone too. I even wear hand-me-down clothing of hers, although I'm generally a few years ahead of them (i.e. in my early teens I could wear stuff she wore when she was in university).

Bucket list? What's that? Missed too , any goals to have any left.
Get an honours and if possible a masters degree, may take till 70 though.
Emigrate to Canada.
Get a well paying job out of retail where my talents could better be put to use.
Find true lo e and settle down with the white picket fence and all.
Back pack at least part of the way around the world.

But alas fear I have missed practically all of those.
If you've done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear,
if you've something to hide you shouldn't be here.

Get a Doctorate, see Niagra Falls again, go to Anthrocon with friends, See the Grand Canyon, see the Northern Lights. That's about it...
