I noticed that FA was down when trying to access my daily furry porn fix^W^W^W^W^Wsome reasonable discussions on furry affairs. This naturally led me to the FA forums, to find out when things will be set aright again.
I realized that the easiest way to generate furry drama is to do the following:
Step 1: Take down FA for a desired period
Step 2: Observe FA forums for the same period
This made me think some more. I often see drama in a lot of furry communities, more than in most others I frequent. Almost as if there's a large group of attention-seekers.
Here I have seen none of it. None I can remember at any rate. Do you think this is because
1) This is a fairly new site, as furry forums go
2) A SA attribute, that we're less prone to drama
3) More mature/better quality furs on here
4) Smaller membership
5) Just coincidence
6) Some other reason
What do you think? And no, this is not an attempt to generate said drama, I am just curious. Personally I dislike it and would prefer if it stayed off the forum entirely.

Re: FA made me think a bit
Unfortunately, from the brief time I've been involved in the fandom, I've realised that one thing you can rarely separate furries from is drama. In the past 3 months or so, I've had more drama in my life thanks to the fandom than I've had in 18 years of being alive. I don't know why furries are so prone to drama, but if there's one thing that makes me look twice at being a furry, it's that.
As for there being so little drama on this site...well, I won't say that it's because we're less prone to drama, that isn't true, nor is it a maturity thing, considering maturity is a personal thing. In my opinion, the only reason there hasn't been a ton of drama on here, is that this is a relatively new place. It's normally certain people posting sporadically, and most of the people on this forum have some other place to deposit their drama (see: livejournal).
Anyway, I hope the trend continues, and that drama stays away from here, because really, I hate drama. And this place is nicely lacking thusfar.

We aren't any more mature than the Americans, don't fool yourselves. We just have no frame of reference of actual maturity because it seems the majority were raised with either a superiority complex or some sort of debilitating mental illness.
Don't hate me for saying it I do it for the lulz.

Re: FA made me think a bit
I noticed Fa's down... again! I'd say we lack the drama because of a major difference between us. FA is a huge site so even if a small percentage cause drama that's a lot of drama. More importantly FA is a favourite site for a lot of furs and where they post all their work. We're a small little forum here that's not hugely active yet. If we go down you just can't post a message for a day or two. FA going down means nowhere to post your work and a loss of a major source of art, music and stories.

I'm hoping that the trend continues. Thats why thing that I've tried to stay away from is the drama. I've had enough of it in the past, now I just want a decent and respectful experience ^..^
Though I'd have to agree with Dualsa, the forum is still new and we have not received the bulk of the audience. With all the different backgrounds that we come from, there is bound to be clashes in differences.
But, the difference is involving others. If someone is in the mood to start some drama with someone, they should take it to a private message system and/or away from the main group. I find it sad and poor that the person would expect attention from posting in a public forum, only to cause more drama than anything else.
For some people, when comes down to respect, it has less worth than a noun. In most cases, it boils down to what parents instil in their siblings and what that person has been through in their childhood.
