Noah's Poetry

#1

Post by noah-lausberg »

So...I don't share my poems (If you can even call it that) but here's one.

Enjoy...I suppose.

The Introvert

Music dancing against the walls
A blanket, a bed and in between a body
A young man, sleeping peacefully though he's unsure of his mind

Twenty and naïve he fell for people’s tricks (and lies)
He’s gay, he’s proud though his parents aren’t
He’d rather fall asleep than to confront them and their "talks"

He studies, he reads and he even talks to people online
Pity they don’t consider his feelings
When he considers theirs

He keeps to himself
Not telling his secrets
Although he states “I’m fine”
Anxiety and stress stopping him from telling the truth otherwise

He sees himself as curious, living in his world:
Icy caves and magic beings
Learning and expanding his knowledge

So if you ever want to meet him
Give him a text
He prefers the word ‘Introvert’
Shy and smart
In his own way.

Tessellate

#4

Post by noah-lausberg »

So, I made another poem but I hope it's clearer than the last.
Uhm...enjoy?

Tessellate

Triangles are my favorite shape
I’ve always wondered why not ovals or squares
Triangles broken, wanting to be fixed alright

Let’s tessellate
Do some mosaic
Come on let’s decorate the old damned floor

Bloody reds
and
cooler hues

Why not just black?
why not just white?
Cause we don’t like a bland life

Oh, bless that zebra and its wonderful stripes
In the savanna, proud with all its might
On the floor, gleaming in the light

A lady in snow white
A man in pitch black
Dancing on the floor, like the zebra
Showing their passion, love and might
Healer the heals, refusing to be healed

That is really awesome!
I love the lyrical quality to it. It feels like it would work well as a song. :3

Well I'd guess the song that probably inspired it would count?

It wasn't entirely the song but I got the meaning from the dictionary which refers it to the laying of mosaic and only using one specific shape to lay it down without them overlapping each other and fitting nicely together...basically like tiles.

But yes, alt-J did inspire me due to the fact that I have the song on my phone and I was listening to it while writing. :3

Spring

#10

Post by noah-lausberg »

I kinda had some free time today and I couldn't stop thinking about Spring >.<

Enjoy...

Spring

Icicles, dangling from a dead tree
Cold, sighing, impatient for leaves
Roots stuck in the ground

Thinking of the next season
Spring
Unknowingly smiling, knowing she will grant him threefold this year

A month then two,
The time for Winter to stop and sleep
Has come and he is ready to leave
Waiting for Spring, his darling
Wishing they could properly meet

Spring with her gentle voice asks for radiant light
Father Sun granting her wish, giving warmth to Earth
Melting the cold away

The tree feeling warm, bears his fruits, granting apples
Children climbing him, happy, giggling and taking the fruit
Ripe for the picking

Animals, rejoicing roaming free
Rabbits, foxes and even the wolves’ sons
Running and playing

Spring looking as happy as she can be
Enjoying her work
Warm and caring
Happy as she will always be

Claustrophobia

#11

Post by noah-lausberg »

I swear my head is just full of of inspiration or I just think everything as I go.

Enjoy...

Claustrophobia

One person came
Oh god, another
Now three, next four
Dammit, they’re going to be in the wall

They mustn’t touch me
I don’t like being touched
If they do I will hurt them

My space is getting smaller
I can’t stand these people
Their smells, they’re chewing and that annoying smartphone…

Gah! I can’t stand it!

I feel like I’m losing air.
I can’t breathe
I just want to scream
“Get the fu*k away from me!”

All looking worried
They look uncertain
The rain busy pouring
Shoving them out of the way

At last
I’m calm
And happy as can be
The rain making me wet
Peaceful as I can ever be.

Noah's Poetry

#14

Post by noah-lausberg »

So, instead of putting my poems in one by one I decided to be smart and post it in a whole topic

Here's my next poem

Dionne

Tunes, floating in the air
A woman in her 20’s
A song from the 1960’s
She asks of San Jose
She really looked fair

Dionne Warwick
Voice of glistening gold

She has a memory
A car for a hundred
It’s somewhat like a story
I must’ve wondered

‘With a dream in your heart you’re never alone’

There all merged. The merge function is strictly chronological though so that's a bit annoying. All the old thread names remain though so the old comments can least be understood.

Thank you for merging everything and I seriously appreciate that. Apologies for not asking though (I never ask cause I feel like I'm desperate)

Why 13?

Should I?
Could I?
Why must I?

I’m not him, nor her
Thank god not Cher
I’m myself, I’m different
At least, I’m not a current

Why?
Why do I feel like this?
Why must I compare myself to others?

I’m myself
I’m unique
I must just let it be...

Thanks Trace for the kind words. *hugs*

This poem is based on the stability of my mental health after I deleted my Telegram and other social media after I sent the message "nice knowing you".

Unstable

All the boxes
Messed or destroyed
My thoughts
My dreams
All into the void

Anxiety that bit*h
She and her friend Depression
They found the office
All the boxes

Destroying, mocking and shouting
Knowing my weakness
My hopes, My dreams
In those boxes

“I’m bad luck.”
“I’m not good enough”
“Nobody likes me”

They’re in my head
They’re in me

“Get the fu*k out!”
“You’re needed here in this world, Noah”
“You’re gonna be okay”
“You have a purpose”

Armour on
Sword sharpened
Shield up
Let them come...I’ll be waiting.

Judgement

So you’re saying she’s hooker?
How do you know?
Did you fu*k her?

Judgement is passed as usual
The man by the wall is apparently a drunkard
Is actually sober, just waiting for his lover
The girl that jumped was fat
She was actually struggling and died trying

We judge, criticise
Talking worse about each other
Why don’t we have a look at another

The guy who plays music is in love with his brother
He’s in tears because he found out he has a lesbian mother
She is a teen mother
She’s not in fact she is only fat
“She looks like a rat”

We judge to make ourselves better
Knowing nothing we are swift
No one is innocent and sweet
We should stop, think and say
“Will this hurt?”

To be wed

“Do you take him to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I do.”
“And do you take him to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I do.”
They kissed

These words of love
There they go, those snow white doves
They walked out of the chapel
Happy I wish them be

Bad times and times of good
They are madly in love
With one another
He popped the question
And his love said yes

They went all out, the day was indeed grand
White everywhere
They were pure

I wish them all the best
May their journey be forever

Apologies if my poetry is getting worse, I feel like I ran out of ideas.

Inspiration

Music
Notes
Perhaps that tune in my head

There’s books
Knowledge
What about that old fart?

Arts
History
They say it drives you to insanity

No my good man
That’s actually inspiration

Picasso the painter
Shakespeare the writer
Lorde the singer
Or maybe
The gods of Olympus

Men and women
They all had their inspiration

Seeable
Readable
Listenable

Inspiration is everywhere
You just need to listen and look

So with this one, I based it off human trafficking and all the whatnot's with it.

Escape

Running
Screaming
Was I dreaming?

Sedated
Medicated
You brainwashed me to be dedicated

I broke free
It was meant to be
Why did you do that to me?

You said that I must have passion
Never compassion
Everything was done in a certain fashion

Escaped
I had been videotaped
Thankfully never raped

Gossip

Twenty fifteen
Twenty sixteen
Looks like they’re just gossiping
Fu*king tweens

Twenty seventeen
Twenty eighteen
"She just looks like she's constipatin' "

You keep talking utter cr*p
Made me wish I had a cap
Unknown
Unseen
We open our mouths and all just start gossiping

“She puts her hair in oil to make it shine”
“He thinks he’s the seal of approval when tasting god awful wine”

I can’t stand it
JUST STOP!
I feel like my head’s about to pop!

It’s boiling like a kettle
Whistling and screaming

The lies being fed
Torment being spread

Can’t say something good?
Here’s an idea…
SHUT THE HELL UP!!

If you can’t then get away
Or else I’m sending you to over crowded Bombay

Favorites

You lied
You always denied
And I had always cried

I stayed in bed
Making sure I was never fed

I always said to never leave me alone
Then I again, you always saw me as the dog chewing a bone
Or was your listening skills never that honed?

Clearly you’re playing favourites
I was faceless
The other was plain ol’ faithless

You played Cupid
Made me actually stupid
This is why I preferred being secluded

Because you had to be exclusive.
In the end it’s an elusive illusion.

So, after a resentful weekend I got fed up with some gossiping (I will not name names) and decided to actually write a poem about it.

Hope nothing happens to me. Enjoy!

False Truths

I’ve gotten fed up with s**t
It seems those who deem fit
Should be in a pitch black pit

You lie to others
Doubting one another
What next? You’ll tell their mothers?

Honestly
I
Don’t
Freaking
Care
Shut up, grow up and a pair
Or don’t you have anything inbetween there?

You’re causing friendships broken
Cyber bullying rates have become unspoken
Relationships then become an expired goddamn token

Gossip more
I dare you
But in the end don’t expect something to adore
Oh and by the way...don’t pretend you have no clue
Healer the heals, refusing to be healed
