I can understand written afrikaans with some effort, spoken is a lost cause on me. The Afrikaans is more poetic, in my opinion

Besides, between the two of us, your prospects of finding a mate are far superior. At least most of the females of your species are not... well.. extinct.
That tends to make the challenge of finding a mate most troublesome. And, when you do, taking her to the natural history museum on a date is most awkward.

As for your poetry, it is most well-written! I was quite impressed! However, I shall soon be retaliating with a poem of my own, as it seems my ode to a dead fly is no longer sufficient.

The Western Province is full of attractive women. How "foxy" they are just has to be confirmed. And my proportions were to give the dwarf reaction full context. Because I know the target audience doesn't frequent this site. Maybe they're afraid of being referred to a bitches?

I always find it weird how in Afrikaans we tend to use the word "Jakkals" instead of "Vos" when we are talking about a Fox.
Perhaps it has something to do with "Jakkals en Wolf" stories where the "Jakkals" in question is not a Jackal but a Red Fox.

My theory is that since there is only one true species of fox in SA every thing gets thrown under "Jakkals".
