Doge's ramblings
Every once in a while
My Doge brain has a fart
This would make me smile
Because then I'd feel quite smart.
My poetry is dumb
And i know this for a fact
I would suck it from my thumb
But to me it would have a great impact.
I will post my ramblings here
And I'd like to hear what you guys say
My whole life i had a fear
But it ends today.

Re: Doge's ramblings
The truth.
Through my heart i hear and see
Through my mind im deaf and blind
To you my friend, i say this now
To you my friend, who i hope you'll stay to the end
This that i say,
Has been with me from mid teen to this day,
This thing i hold
To whom no one i have told
This is a matter of life or misery,
And i say this honestly
My parents will blame themselves
But there is no one to blame but myself.
Long i have dreaded this day,
For a long time, hiding away,
For long i never wished this day would come,
But here it is, making me feel like scum.
Long have i dreaded this day...
The truth is...
That I am gay
So the first poem i ever made was a coming out poem... It was very hard for me to come out as gay to my parents because of typical stuff... So yeah... This was made in one go, about ten minutes...

Very nice, cute limerick in the beginning. The second one I think a number of gay guys can identify with. Coming out especially to ones family has got to be one of the hardest thing in life a gay man has to do.
PS as a matter of interest, when did you come out?

Re: Doge's ramblings
I like them, they emanate from the heart
I think it can be hard for both the person coming out as gay and the parents having to accept their child's life choices. I don't see anything wrong with being gay and I hope when I have kids, If they turn out to be gay I don't want them to be scared to tell me because I will love them the same as I always have.
Were your parents understanding and supportive when you told them?

Re: Doge's ramblings
Brain fart was quite funny, Dan.
Your coming out poem on the other hand, was a chilling reminder. I liked the way you held off saying you're gay until the very end of the poem.
I remember when I told my parents. I do public speaking fluently and effortlessly, and yet, here I was stuttering and stammering to them, trying to keep it together. "Dread," certainly summed up how I felt.
When I finally did blurt it out, I didn't feel, "a great weight lift off my shoulders." Nothing that cliche. I felt instead like I had fallen into a nightmare, as it seemed surreal how bad my life felt like it was going at that moment in time.
Anyway, relatively speaking, I was lucky in the end. Well done Dan. Coming out takes a lot of courage. I came out because my parents confronted me.
How are you finding the aftermath?

Hehe yeah, it needed the little bit of explanation to show how Close it is to me.Ravensong wrote:But the second one was awesome! I didnt realise.it till the end when i saw the lime about ur parents and i was all like dude!!!

Well, only two furs know this.. but at the end of 2014 i was ostracized by my church and community for being gay... my parents fell in with them and i felt betrayed in all honesty. they even got a "correctional" quack (psychotherapist) claiming he can cure me of my mental disease. he didn't after everything and after some time i think my parents saw what was going on and they realized that everything was hurting me and they came to terms. We spoke about it and resolved the matter. So at least now, everything is going quite well.Ryall wrote:How are you finding the aftermath?

Bonds
Smiling is the true mask
Something that society does ask
A mask you put on to accommodate
Because none wants to know your fate
The "friends" of your day to day
Only exists when things go their way
Not caring for the pain or trouble
Or the fall that comes after the stumble
The only true bond in a life is a brother
Mask less friends forever, no other
The one that you love till the end
The one with who all can be amend
Fights happen and quarrels will occur
Every swing that is swung is in truce
Not all said is planned or foreseen
Blood is blood, family or not...
A fragile spirit in their care
A mind of organized chaos
A loose tongue and overflowing heart
Yet arms wide open, unconditionally
Never alone,
Never strangers,
Always there,
Always.

Its so true sometimes all we ask is just someone to hold us and comfort us while we cry the pain out is it such a huge burden for society that we must fake happiness for them instead.DanLeo427 wrote:Bonds

Yeah... We are subjected to so much sorrow in the modern life and yet when we cry out we are told to chin up and hang in there, its not so bad...KinkInZA wrote:Its so true sometimes all we ask is just someone to hold us and comfort us while we cry the pain out is it such a huge burden for society that we must fake happiness for them instead.

Re: Doge's ramblings
Cardiac tapestry
Tethering on the shelf
On the edge of its pedestal
Weaving back and forth
On the verge of a final descent
Wars of truth and peace rage on
Bombs and bullets and iron fists
The fight for peace, love and serenity
A war waged for the prized porcelain
Two men, generals of their own wars
Engaged in the battle of the mind
Each fighting for the best cause
Yet even with the greatest intentions...
Locked in the place where safety is key
In a shell to keep the wrath of war away
Yet the shaking of the strikes penetrate
Making the foundation and it quake
Two generals engaged in a war
One a veteran and one a novice
Battling the wars of minds torn
Engaged in battle of emotion's cause
The peak has come and it has gone
A veteran called for retreat
A novice denied with proposed meet
A meet in the middle where both agree
Dust has settled and quakes have too
The safety brief and the wars quelled
Two men at a point of agreement
For peace and withdrawal, friends to be
In the last word on the final decision
Hands shook in reluctant agreement
In the silence of peace and still
crashed porcelain within a cracked shell
Wars have been endured and survived
The attacks, not a scratch
Endless assaults, unscathed
Withdrawn and wars gone... Broken.

It's because those people who tell us chin up have been there and they have no other advice. Sometimes we have to be there for ourselves

Re: Doge's ramblings
A very strange world
This is an odd place that we call home
This... World we live in... Hardly shown
This life that is all that we know
Yet the secrecy will never let us show
We move and thrive in reality
With everyone else in conjunction
But our minds are caught in their own mentality
Leading our lives to need unnecessary construction
Bend to the norm!
Be raped by society!
Stealing our freedom with "freedom"
And caging us in our own vitality.
" I am deferent" " I am a freak"
This is what is done to the unique
Their minds kneaded to a putty, declared insane
As they slowly decay into mundane
We are the color to this bleak world
We bring excitement and joy
Yet we're cut down by the fearful
For their lives are perfect with no gaiety
Shoved away into the confines of our minds
Left to wander a wasteland of wonder
Learning to see the augmented signs
Told to join the world, but left to sunder.
It would seem that very special parameters needs to come into play for me to write something...
Tell me what you think? I would love to hear your interpretations.

Re: Doge's ramblings
Extraordinary friend.
Coming and going in a wave of six
Where it takes us a full one in the mix
Waning and waxing, shining ever bright
Blinking but once a month, darkest sight
A symbol of love and death alike
Pale and smooth white skin
Cratered and bashed in protective light
Beauty and evil, purity and spite
By day one form, and by night another
Known by many names, special other
Always watching and always there
The face of comfort with a glow so fair
A friend you have been all my life
A guide more than twice
Shone a light on my path and broke the dark
Watched me cry, fly, fight, loose sight...
Forever an inspiration, rock, foundation
There before we came to be
And there long after we say goodbye to the
Moonshine shining bright.

Well this has been on for a while without a comment.
Very interesting a bit of darkness combined with hope and light, quite enjoyed it.
