A puppy - random poem by me

I have no home.
Never did. They threw me out of my home.
Then the strangers came and took me
They shoved me into some dingy little cage with others
It�s scary here.
People come every now and then and take away my friends. but they always ignore me.
Why?
It makes no sense.
But, then, what does?
I was happy, now I'm in some stupid place with all these others. We all get our own cages.
Every couple of days, weeks?
Another family. Try to catch their attention.
Nope. They want the guy next door.
Why does nobody want me?
More time. I'm getting used to it here. It's been a long time
The strangers are here again. They want me to go with them
They put me on a table in a strange room.
Inject me with something. Why? I'm not sick.
I haven't understood anything since I arrived so long ago
I feel tiered. Maybe I should take a nap.
I'm sure they'll look after me.

Wrote it after volenteering at the SPCA for my school.
