Echo's Echoes

#1

Post by Echo_W95 » Sat Jan 06, 2018 11:01 pm

I have written some things in the past on here, so I'll start a thread for the next ones instead, so I won't flood the forum with my fortuitous future fumblings.
These may be depressing or silly or just plain bad. Fair warning =P

Echoes of the Past: The Howl

Echoes of the Past:
The Howl
--------------------------------

Can you hear the lone wolf howl,
For a love long lost;
Can you see the rooftop owl
Sitting in the frost?

Something stirs within,
First its cool, then searing hot,
A burning anger in his skin
That dark, inner rot.

He howls again, and asks,
''Tell me, Moon, and tell me true.
Did I not remove my masks,
When I said that I loved you?''

''Some you did, but not all, "
Moon replied,
"I had to watch you fall,
you ruined us, for your pride;

And now you are without a guide
In the darkness you reside.
Trust me wolf, for I have tried,
When I loved you, I only cried."
Don't waste your time looking back, you're not going that way.

Echoes of the Past: The Trap

#5

Post by Echo_W95 » Mon Jan 08, 2018 11:41 pm

Jaws of Iron, chain of steel
Here it lies in wait
Beneath a veil of promises, conceal
There lies the Jaws of Fate.

The veil portrays that
Which your heart most desires
A sweet, baby cat,
Or warm, cozy fires;

The embrace of the Moon,
The comfort of the Sun..
But just as soon
As you start to run,

The veil will lift,
promises fade away.
If you are not swift,
It will lead you astray;

So beware the Trap,
And mind the gap.
Follow the map,
Or your neck will snap.
Don't waste your time looking back, you're not going that way.

Echoes of the Past: The Tempest

Dark skies, dark clouds
Rain pouring from within
Lightning hides within it's shrouds
Concealing your every sin.

None of us are protected
Not him, nor her nor they.
In this way we're all connected
Together we'll keep it at bay.

The darkness comes for all of us
No matter who you are
But it's your choice to make a fuss
Or to simply raise the bar.

Wipe the tears from your eyes.
Together we can save our lives.
The lone wolf dies,
But the pack survives.
Don't waste your time looking back, you're not going that way.
