Re: Fursona help
Extremely well done!
I can't really help with colour, because I have a camouflage bias. The current colour scheme will blend with clouds and snow. Thus I don't think it has to change.
You can be proud.

Orange did cross my mind. But it has to be a fitting shade. The wrong one could make you look like a pumpkin or you had a bad spray tan.Contrast wrote:What about bright red or orange?

Re: Fursona help
Well, she is a Dutch Angel Dragon, so orange might work on multiple levels. A two-toned orange might be nice, too, starting dark at the bottom and lightening to a more yellowish shade at the top, maybe give it a "sunset" vibe.Cape_F0X wrote:Orange did cross my mind. Re: Fursona help
But then what do you call a regular Angel Dragon that just so happens to be from the Netherlands? A non-Dutch Dutch Angel Dragon? o.O
And what about a Dutch Angel Dragon that is from the Netherlands? A Dutch Dutch Angel Dragon? @.@

Re: Fursona help
Okay so I cleaned up the sketch and colourised the grey bits. I tried a few different versions; it's all layer-based so I can change it easily if none of these strike a chord, just request a colour.

Nature can also be a source of inspiration. I'm using this Grey-hooded kingfisher since it sort of has the fixed colours and orange as mentioned above.

Nice drawing, Xeide.
Ooo, I actually love the tawny and periwinkle ones. Good job Lee.Leeward wrote:Okay so I cleaned up the sketch and colourised the grey bits. I tried a few different versions; it's all layer-based so I can change it easily if none of these strike a chord, just request a colour.

Re: Fursona help
Wonderful job Xeide, I really like your picture.
It's not going to be nearly as clean as Leeward's, but I decided to have a quick go at attempting to do some color.
I liked the orange suggestion, and I'm inclined to think it looks pretty good (my own awful inconsistencies aside):
download/file.php?mode=view&id=7918
But I'm a huge fan of the combination of orange and blue. Other suggestion I might have would probably include yellow, or maybe red.
But what are you thinking? Do you have any inclination to more warm colors or towards cooler colors? I kind of like the contrast that a warmer base color might have with the blue already present, but I could understand preferring something that might be more complimentary instead. What do you think?

Re: Fursona help
I have to concur, I like Cape's Kingfisher Xeide the most.
Perfect colour vision is both a blessing and a curse... Vague descriptions of colours are one of my biggest pet peeves.Ryall wrote:Ooo, I actually love the tawny and periwinkle ones. Good job Lee.
