Sakuls 3D arts

Post by rusted hydra »

Wanted to share what I've made so far messing about in sculptris whilst half-listening to a tutorial
Pretty decent I may say so myself.jpg
I suck at painting
I suck at painting
here what what I was following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K-U5AlaGwc
though his end result is way different as I got bored following him bout eps 2 and fiddled my own way

So I'm at the point I can say I can operate sculptris
Now to practice making some things

namely furry things

So I'm going to fiddle making a shark head and then if anyone wants I'll try making their fursona/thing head into a 3d sculpted.

What about the Cora statue from my novel? :)

It is a Wolf standing with its arms stretched out horizontally (sort of a “come at me bro!” pose). The body is made of wood, but the teeth, nails, and claws are sharpened stone. It has two eyes in the regular spots, but an additional third eye in its forehead and a fourth and a fifth in each of its palms. The irises are painted red with a runny mixture of crushed berries and deer blood. Its mouth is open and it appears to be roaring.

But I'll do today.
But not now, did feel like doing it now buuut... not really prime time to livestream. I really like livestreaming, to the point I wanna do my stuff on live, even if I only have 0 to 2 watchers

Well here is an in progress thingy.
Its the head of cora, making a "normal" wolf head then after I'll start morphing it to look like a carved item

putting the statue in the center of a huge sacrificial altar might make for an interesting background.
the eyes on his paws are freaky but that was probably the idea wasn't it .I'm gonna have nightmares tonight about those paws hope the work calls me out so I don't have to sleep and dream about it now.

DUDE! That is absolutely perfect! People have been asking to see art for my story for ages, so thank you so much!
KinkInZA wrote:putting the statue in the center of a huge sacrificial altar might make for an interesting background.
The wolves in my story do make sacrifices in front of the statue, but not at an altar. They burn their offerings in a pyre, much like their dead.
KinkInZA wrote:the eyes on his paws are freaky but that was probably the idea wasn't it.
The extra eyes signify the Cora's omniscience. The Cora sees all, knows all, and judges all (at least according to their witchdoctor).

Hmmm. think I should have added some more smog stains to the front, so as the sacrifices and fires would cause a little bit of damage on it.

well really depending on how far from the statue they held their festivities.

Hi all. Still working on learning Blender and a very important part of 3d models: RIGGING!
SFW Done.png
*collapses exhausted*

Oh god its so difficult but I FINALLY HAVE A RIGGED MODEL!
I still need to do some finer work such as put inverse kinematics on the tail, tongue and ears.

but it is done. I am now a puppeteer
I can exert control over that which I have created.

FINALLY!

Thank you ^...^

but I have trouble with the animating. Namely the cloth dress I dropped on her is...
well...
it stays on for the first 200 frames and then suddenly decides it will glitch and then falls through her.

Isn't the falling through/collision part of the physics of the model?

I have actually found the reason for it. Something something I saw a value that read from 1 to 200, but my animation was 1000 frames, so when I put it to 1 to 1000 it worked and the clothes stayed on. My guess... it was only simulating collisions for frame 1 to 200 at first.
