Any Linux guys out there? I'm getting screen taring when browsing internets and watching youtube vids? What could cause that?

It's Firefox, and maybe it could be a driver issue...

Oh. A friend was saying he had 4K video problems in Firefox on Linux and it was because Firefox doesn't use the GPU to run videos. Maybe that's the problem? There's a way to enable it though. But a quick search suggests screen tearing could be any number of things.

Edit: Try about:config, set layers.acceleration.force-enabled to true and then restart the browser.

Does anyone here know if you Fnb and PayPal work together? I need to link my South African account to PayPal...

You need an FNB account (as in a username and password for the site, not a bank account) to link to a PayPal account and draw Rands from it. I've done it, it's fairly straightforward. Allowed me to EFT directly to my Standard Bank account.

I spent a week trying to get it set up, because there was a very un-intuitive system, and the helpline number listed on the site was wrong, and trying to call their actual helpline takes you to an automated voice that asks for your card number, so I ended up calling their real estate number or something, and asked them to redirect me to the right department

I've now got 8 open job applications in 5 countries. It's an exhausting and demotivating task. But the last one was kinda funny. I applied somewhere in South Africa and I thought the person who was in charge looked familiar. It was a person I met and whose lab I nearly joined for my PhD but turned them down when I went to Austria! I'm not sure if that will be good or bad for me.
