Well... Witnessed an accident he was in...

He was attending a wedding. And he and a friend was having a drag race and hit a pothole, and the car flipped, and caught fire... The driver(Ramaphosa's son) was badly burnt. His pants literately burnt off.

They told the staff of the place the wedding was held today to keep things under wraps about his attendance...
Among those, is a friend of mine...

Had a great D&D session yesterday. We were getting dangerously close to TPK, and my sleazy tiefling bard was one of the last remaining conscious but basically powerless to help so what does he do? Pray for a miracle. Which actually worked and we all survived. The cleric was dumbstruck.

I am busy making Christmas gifts! Except the universe is conspiring against me finishing them, because my tablet's cable was left behind in Cape Town when I returned here. Alas, it is a standard USB cable, so it should be easy to replace. But for now, going to have use the old pencil and eraser, and hope I don't miss Ctrl + Z too much.

I'm home. Was catching up with the family. Christmas celebrations tomorrow. I also need to just replace the old Windows on this PC with Antergos. Problem is, the wireless card isn't turning on since I fiddled with it the last time I was down here. That's another problem that needs to be solved. Guess I'll only be fully operational again after Christmas.

getting ready to go to a Christmas lunch where I'll be the odd one out, still considered too young to chat with the adults but way too old to play with the kids. So I'll be relegated to my usual position of sitting on the couch being bored outta my mind watching everyone else have a good time.

I made the mistake of listening to the Doom 2016 soundtrack while working out, and accidentally broke all the machines from sheer brute force and threw all the dumbbells into the ceiling.

Just finished the first subchapter of my new novel. I still don't have a name for it yet, and none of the characters have names either, so the whole thing is just strewn with blank spaces. Still, I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along.

Well fuck, now I'm gonna have to watch Disenchantment. I was going to watch it when it came out, but then I heard it wasn't very good, so I didn't bother.
My fairy isn't going to be a recurring character (I think), so it shouldn't be a problem, but still, better to know what's out there in the early-going, I guess. :/

The hooker fairy is not a recurring character in Disenchantment either, it just sounded thematically similar.

Just watched the first episode of Disenchantment (liked it way more than I thought I would, after all the negative comments) and I think I can keep my fairy the way she is. Yes, they're both hooker fairies (and here I thought I was being so original), but mine is different enough that I don't feel like an accidental plagiarist. She only shows up for one page anyway.

But if a later episode pops up with a knitting Minotaur I am going to be REALLY pissed. -_-

Kyell Gold said that at one of his EF panels. He said he doesn't mind talking about the plots of novels he's working on because no two people would write the same story the same way.

Yeah I know, it's just annoying, is all. I'm not gonna let it bother me too much, though. That Minotaur is from a picture, with no story or context, so already mine is a completely different beast. Even the hooker fairy from Disenchantment is different enough so it's not a big deal. The one in Disenchantment is pretty wholesome compared to mine, actually. (Yeah, only the dirtiest, drunkest, most sick-nasty fairies spring forth from this here font of imagination.)
