Cabinet Reshuffle Marks End of the Furry Fandom in SA!
By now most of you will have heard of Pravin Gordhan and various other government ministers being axed, as well as ex-deputy finance minister Mcebisi Jonas's subsequent murder. The newly sworn-in minister of media, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa (pictured below) - previously a board member of South African Airways - is bringing in new internet censorship laws, which spell doom or the furry fandom in South Africa!
https://mybroadband.co.za/news/business ... frica.html).
And they're starting with the internet!
Some of you will remember the proposed internet censorship bill in 2015 (https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/opinion ... N9RbdKGMuU) which luckily never came to fruition. Well, the new minister of media is bringing it back with a vengeance! Abubakar Tafawa Balewa announced plans that a new internet censorship bill be drafted and brought into effect on 01 June 2017.
In the new bill, under the guise of protecting children, it states explicitly that websites, groups, and communities which solicit sexually deviant actives such as: ( a long list ensues and then eventually)...websites that blur lines between animal and human dignity, or promote the sexualisation of humans with animal features or animals with human features. Violators of the bill will be subject to prosecution, fines, and even jail-time of a yet-to-be-disclosed amount.
The new internet censorship bill, dubbed 'Ukubulala Ophendukezela' or, "Kill the Perverts," is planned to involve a significant amount of state resources in clamping down on internet website, and mobile applications such as WhatsApp and Telegram.
Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stated, "for too long our children have been at the mercy of perverts, wishing to groom them into thinking this and that is normal and that it is okay to act in a certain way. It is a country-wide pandemic! Enough is enough! Today the South African government takes back the internet!"
Western Cape premier, Helen Zille made a public response to the proposed bill, stating, "The country needs to make a firm stance against the ANC's increasingly authoritarian, anti-colonialist agenda. They are insidiously undermining our freedom of speech and freedom of press - proud colonial traditions. Who is the ANC tell me what privilege I can and can't indulge in?"
So, what will you spend your time on when we can no longer access furry websites and Groups? Comment below.
Well, in light of recent media and internet backlash over Zuma's, "night of the long knives," cabinet reshuffle, government is clamping down hard on media in a bid to stem the negative publicity and rallying cries for a tax uprising (And they're starting with the internet!

Obviously we need to make a stand against this... Internet censorship is one thing, but specifically banning the furry fandom...
I won't stand for this. Enough is enough!

I guess I'll live a normal life now then, without furry drama and sexual deviance. What a sad, sad day.

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan-- Er, I mean, first prime minister of independent Nigeria Abubakar Tafawa Belewa must be stopped, at all costs! Who is the government to dictate when and when I cannot access my hefty cache of otherwordly, carnal anthro porn alternative art?

I know that the cabinet reshuffle happened, but is this this year's April Fool's joke? Seems rather weak by your usual standards.

Re: Cabinet Reshuffle Marks End of the Furry Fandom in SA!
Sev, this one had a lot of political humor in it. Mcebisi Jonas was not murdered (there would have been an uproar if he had); and Abubaka Tafawu Balewa was the first Nigerian minister and that picture is of the ex-Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonothhan , as Galahad correctly noticed. Helen Zille's supposed quote makes reference to her recent debacle over her tweets on colonialism. Also, I named the bill, "kill the pervert," in Zulu: seriously? It was pretty ludicrous if you keep up with local news, even if it wasn't funny.Sev wrote:I know that the cabinet reshuffle happened, but is this this year's April Fool's joke? I remember that you introduced Ryall similarly last time, when you guys thought that I had fallen from it.Leeward wrote:Ladies and gentlefurs, I present to you: Sev the Buzzkill.
I'm sorry that I ruined your joke, Ryall. It's obvious that a lot of thought and effort went into it.
Considering the clowns that we have, and the fact that I have a general ignorance of specific South African politicians, I might have believed aspects of it had it not been posted on April Fool's.

Sev, it helps to create a calendar and, under 1 April of that year, put a picture of Ryall with the caption "Expect witty shit".

I have long mentally created that calendar entry.
This is very much a tradition of Ryall's.

I still think the Canada one was the best and most believable. I fell for it, but in my defence I was new here at the time.

Haha yeah, I liked that one for its flippant comments regarding VoxLupus's upkeep. My favorite was probably my furry wedding: a lot of people took it seriously and pm'ed me with congratulations. :pLeeward wrote:I still think the Canada one was the best and most believable. Anyway, we certainly live in interesting times. Thanks for the read everyone!
@Sev, I was just teasing, don't worry about it, and thanks.

So are you going to announce your eventual actual marriage on April 1st?

Rick & Morty released season 3 (for real) on April 1st. Knowing Ryall, he'd probably pull the same move.
