Something I was wondering earlier..... O.O

#1

Post by Kievvu »

So..as I was making my lunch earlier a thought came into my mind and I've been wondering since then. That thought being "Hmm I wonder if there are any vegetarians/vegans who have fursonas that are carnivorous or omnivorous"
I know this is kind of a strange question/thought/wandering. But hey that's kinda my thing so get used to it :P
Anyways if there is anybody on here who fits that or know someone who fits that. Please could you let me know. It would be much appreciated. Thanks :D

I would imagine there are certainly dietary disparities between many furries and their fursonas. I, myself, am a case in point: I am quite omnivorous, but, naturally, Utahraptors are believed to have been purely carnivorous. This is because there are many other characteristics of that species with which I identify (predatory instinct, physical size, etc.), that render any incompatibilities null. That may be why you might happen across a vegan furry whose fursona is a wolf or a lion: perhaps he or she identifies with one or several other traits of that particular creature. Often, it is the symbolism of the creatures - what they represent - that matters more than strictly physical details. :)

To answer your question directly: I am afraid I do not know of any vegans or vegetarians who are furries with omnivorous or carnivorous fursonas. Yet, I am quite sure there would be. :)

I don't eat lizards, insects and spiders. Does that count as a diet discrepancy?

Really just a silly thing I was wandering. Didn't at all mean to come across as me thinking that anyone should be restricted. ( I myself have quite a dislike for unnecessary restrictions)

It is fine, Kievvu. ;) We welcome open-minded questions. Oh, and Adagio may consume many different things... but flowers are not one of them. Hence, we assign him special duties involving flowers. :P Juuuust kidding, Adagio. ;D

It is a most interesting thing to think about, however. I wonder how often people take into consideration the diet of their fursona? Probably not many times.

Hahahahahahaha! You keep forgetting, lizard, that I have access to many weapons. Most of which are quite capable of seriously maiming at least a Utah Raptor...

My sister's bf is a chef (spent some time working on the QEII) and he made us a batch of sushi one time. Some of it was okay, and some of it was just kinda meh. Sushi comes in a ton of different flavours depending on the fish, the wrapping, and the sauces.

My uncle keeps eating raw wors, no matter how many times I tell him that tapeworm eggs could get into his bloodstream and end up hatching in his brain. :/
It can totally happen, people!! >.<

I'm the opposite of what you described: my fursona is mostly vegetarian, but I'm an omnivore. I don't eat much red meat though, I prefer other forms of protein like fish, eggs, and dairy.

There's quite a few vegetarian furs here in London. In fact one of my closest London friends has attempted to make me a vegetarian... pity I don't do kale or spinach and accidently got sick from it
