I'm all for explaining things but I don't like when people lie.
He says he doesn't have an interest in the sexual side of the fandom, yet his FA has porn favourites. Not many but he obviously does have an interest in the sexual side.
He also says the sexual side is a minority of the fandom. The proportion of adult materials is a minority of submissions on most sites but the number of furs using furry pornography according to survey data is about 78-96% depending on gender.

Honestly, growing up, yiff always felt "cleaner" that mainstream pornography. And the added benefit is that no one was being taken advantage of.

I don't look at yiff as much as I used to a few years back, but I still prefer it to the relative "crudeness" of the alternatives.

I think what he might have meant was that he doesn't use the fandom to portray his sexuality. Like me, I decided not to display my sexuality as I feel it isn't needed as I am not using the fandom as a dating site or something like that. I am not interested in the sexual side myself however I like yiff.

I agree with that. The drawn digital art does feel cleaner and makes it more attractive than real pornography. As you said, that "crudeness" factor.

I agree as well. I'm not a germaphobe, but real pornography always looks and feels so unhygienic to me. Artworks, however, always feel "clean" by comparison, even when depicting incredibly "unclean" activities.

I have seen some murrsuit stuff. It's still pretty much just regular pornography, but you can't see any boobs. :c

Honestly, call me jaded, but parents should have more important things to be concerned about than slightly unorthodox hobbies.

I agree, like for example whether they're doing drugs, getting pregnant, involved in gangs and crime, etc.

Being a furry is even more niche than drug using children.
Parents fear the unknown.
There are thousands of Web pages about what to do if your child is using drugs.... but oh no, he's/she's a furry.

The Wikipedia article for the Fandom isn't particularly negative anyway. I would say that it's a good source of information for the uninformed.
