It's scary how the mascot for probably the second biggest sporting event in the world is completely outshone by the costumes a lot of furs can make. They either need to find some better manufacturers or go to a furcon and commission a Zakumi^^

What is worse is they probably paid more for that thing than what a really good fursuit maker would charge.Rakuen Growlithe wrote:It's scary how the mascot for probably the second biggest sporting event in the world is completely outshone by the costumes a lot of furs can make. I'm glad I'm not the only one who found it not as pleasing.
But i do have to agree: if you're gonna make something like that, do some research and get it done properly.

My only complaint about Zakumi is that he looks like some Jap drew him... they could have... you know... Africanised him a bit?
I mean, we just had the Beijing Olympics... those mascots were manga enough in a more appropriate setting!

Hmm. Whats wrong with bush men....everyone knows they invented soccer.

Re: 2010 official mascot
I just don't like the fact that he looks freaky with dreadlock hair in RL and the nose looks completely wrong unless they draw Zakumi in the right angle. *shrugs*
Funny how he's 14 years old don't you think?

Ah, I think that has to do with years of democracy, considering...
